have you seen him who has taken his desire to be his god? is it your duty to watch over him?
(اے رسول(ص)) کیا آپ نے وہ شخص دیکھا ہے جس نے اپنی خواہش (نفس) کو اپنا خدا بنا رکھا ہے؟ کیا آپ اس کے ذمہ دار ہو سکتے ہیں؟

"he wants to drive you out of your land by his sorcery, then what is it your counsel, and what do you command?"
اس کا مقصد یہ ہے کہ جادو کے زور پر تمہیں تمہاری زمین سے نکال باہر کردے تو اب تمہاری رائے کیا ہے

is it then, that when it has actually befallen, that you will believe in it? what! now (you believe)? and you used (aforetime) to hasten it on!"
تو کیا تم عذاب کے نازل ہونے کے بعد ایمان لاؤ گے .... اور کیا اب ایمان لاؤ گے جب کہ تم عذاب کی جلدی مچائے ہوئے تھے

had allah wished they would not have ascribed partners [to him]. we have not made you a caretaker for them, nor is it your duty to watch over them.
اور اللہ چاہتا تو وہ شرک نہیں کرتے، اور ہم نے تمہیں ان پر نگہبان نہیں کیا اور تم ان پر کڑوڑے (حاکمِ اعلیٰ) نہیں،

say, "is it other than allah i should desire as a lord while he is the lord of all things? and every soul earns not [blame] except against itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. then to your lord is your return, and he will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ."
(اے رسول(ص)) کہہ دیجیے! کیا میں اللہ کے علاوہ کوئی اور رب تلاش کروں؟ حالانکہ وہ ہر چیز کا پروردگار ہے اور ہر نفس جو کچھ کماتا ہے اس کا وبال اسی پر ہے۔ اور کوئی بوجھ اٹھانے والا کسی دوسرے کا بوجھ نہیں اٹھائے گا پھر تم سب کی بازگشت تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف ہے سو وہی تمہیں بتائے گا جس جس چیز میں تم اختلاف کرتے تھے۔
