and if some evil striketh them because of that which their own hands have sent before, then lo! man is an ingrate.
na akisibiwa na ovu kwa sababu ya iliyo yatanguliza mikono yao, basi hakika mtu huyu anakufuru.

how would it be if a misfortune smote them because of that which their own hands have sent before (them)?
basi inakuwaje unapo wasibu msiba kwa sababu ya yale iliyo tanguliza mikono yao?

"this is because of that which your hands had forwarded. and verily, allah is not unjust to his slaves."
hayo ni kwa sababu ya yale yaliyo kwisha tangulizwa na mikono yenu, na hakika mwenyezi mungu si mwenye kuwadhulumu waja.

but they will never long for it, because of that which their own hands have sent before them. allah is aware of evil-doers.
wala hawatayatamani kamwe kwa sababu ya yale yaliyo tangulizwa na mikono yao; na mwenyezi mungu ni mwenye kuwajua vyema wanao dhulumu.

and as for the tribe of the thamud we guided them but they preferred blindness to the guidance, wherefore the bolt of the torment of abjection laid hold of them because of that which they had been earning.
na ama thamudi tuliwaongoza, lakini walipenda upofu kuliko uwongofu. basi uliwachukua moto wa adhabu ya kuwafedhehi kwa sababu ya yale waliyo kuwa wakiyachuma.

and endure them patiently; and thy patience is not but from allah; and grieve not over them, and be not thou in straitness because of that which they plot.
na kusubiri kwako kusiwe ila kwa sababu ya mwenyezi mungu tu. wala usiwahuzunikie; wala usiwe katika dhiki kwa hila wanazo zifanya.

he hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust.
anajificha asionekane na watu kwa ubaya wa aliyo bashiriwa! je, akae naye juu ya fedheha hiyo au amfukie udongoni?

and when we cause mankind to taste of mercy they exult thereat; then if an evil befalleth them because of that which their hands have sent forth, lo! they despair.
na watu tunapo waonjesha rehema huifurahia, na ukiwasibu uovu kwa iliyo yatanguliza mikono yao wenyewe, mara wanakata tamaa.

and verily we! when we cause man to taste of mercy from us he exulteth thereat; and if an ill befalleth them because of that which their hands have sent on, then verily man becometh ingrate.
na hakika sisi tukimwonjesha mtu rehema kutoka kwetu, huifurahia. na akisibiwa na ovu kwa sababu ya iliyo yatanguliza mikono yao, basi hakika mtu huyu anakufuru.

because of that, we decreed upon the children of israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely.
kwa sababu ya hayo tuliwaandikia wana wa israili ya kwamba aliye muuwa mtu bila ya yeye kuuwa, au kufanya uchafuzi katika nchi, basi ni kama amewauwa watu wote.

jubilant (are they) because of that which allah hath bestowed upon them of his bounty, rejoicing for the sake of those who have not joined them but are left behind: that there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.
wanafurahia aliyo wapa mwenyezi mungu kwa fadhila yake, na wanawashangilia wale ambao bado hawajajiunga nao, walio nyuma yao, ya kwamba haitakuwa khofu juu yao wala hawatahuzunika.
