Ва ҳар гоҳ чунин накардаед, ки ҳаргиз натавонед кард, пас битарсед аз оташе, ки барои кофирон муҳайё шуда ҳезуми он мардумон ва сангҳо ҳастанд.

surely, those whom you invoke other than god cannot create even a fly, even if they were all to combine together to do it, and if a fly should snatch anything away from them, they cannot recover it from it.
Касоне, ки онҳоро ба ҷои Оллоҳ ба худоӣ мехонед, агар ҳама гирд оянд, магасеро нахоҳанд офарид ва агар магасе чизе аз онҳо бирабояд, бозситонданашро натавонанд.

and do not say of anything: surely i will do it tomorrow,
Ҳаргиз магӯй: «Фардо чунин мекунам»,

surely those upon whom you call, apart from god, shall never create a fly, though they banded together to do it; and if a fly should rob them of aught, they would never rescue it from him.
Касоне, ки онҳоро ба ҷои Оллоҳ ба худоӣ мехонед, агар ҳама гирд оянд, магасеро нахоҳанд офарид ва агар магасе чизе аз онҳо бирабояд, бозситонданашро натавонанд.

he has known that you [muslims] will not be able to do it and has turned to you in forgiveness, so recite what is easy [for you] of the qur'an.
Ва медонад, ки шумо ҳаргиз ҳисоби онро натавонед дошт. Пас тавбаи шуморо қабул кард.

an afreet from among the jinn said, ‘i will bring it to you before you rise from your place. i have the power to do it and am trustworthy.’
Ифрите аз миёни ҷинҳо гуфт: «Ман қабл аз он, ки аз ҷоят бархезӣ, онро назди ту ҳозир мекунам, ки ман бар ин кор ҳам тавонояму ҳам боваринок».

and when they commit an immorality, they say, "we found our fathers doing it, and allah has ordered us to do it."
