This is an account of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zechariah

And Zechariah and John and Jesus and Elias - and all were of the righteous.

[This is] a mention of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zechariah

and Zechariah, John, Jesus and Ilyas—each of them among the righteous—
இன்னும், ஜகரிய்யா, யஹ்யா, ஈஸா, இல்யாஸ் - இவர்கள் யாவரும் (நேர் வழிசார்ந்த) ஸாலிஹானவர்களில் நின்றுமுள்ளவர்களே.

[This is] an account of your Lord’s mercy on His servant, Zechariah,
(நபியே! இது) உம்முடைய இறைவன் தன் அடியாராகிய ஜகரிய்யாவுக்கு அருளிய ரஹ்மத்தைப் பற்றியதாகும்.

And Zechariah, and John, and Jesus, and Elias—every one of them was of the upright.
இன்னும், ஜகரிய்யா, யஹ்யா, ஈஸா, இல்யாஸ் - இவர்கள் யாவரும் (நேர் வழிசார்ந்த) ஸாலிஹானவர்களில் நின்றுமுள்ளவர்களே.

Thereupon Zechariah came out from the sanctuary and directed his people by gestures to extol His glory by day and by night.
ஆகவே அவர் மிஹ்ராபை (தொழும் இடம்) விட்டு வெளியே தம் சமூகத்தாரிடம் வந்தார்; பின்னர் அவர்களிடம் (பேச முடியாத நிலையில் சயிக்கினையாக) அவர், "காலையிலும், மாலையிலும் (அல்லாஹ்வைத் துதித்து) தஸ்பீஹீ செய்யுங்கள்" என்று உணர்த்தினார்.

“O Zechariah, We give you good news of a son, whose name is John, a name We have never given before.”
"ஜகரிய்யாவே! யஹ்யா என்ற பெயர் கொண்ட ஒரு புதல்வனை(த் தருவது) பற்றி நிச்சயமாக நாம் உமக்கு நற்செய்தி கூறுகிறோம். இதற்கு முன்னர் இப்பெயர் கொண்டவரை நாம் ஆக்கவில்லை" (என்று இறைவன் கூறினான்).

And Zechariah, when he called out to his Lord, “My Lord, do not leave me alone, even though you are the Best of heirs.”
இன்னும் ஜகரியா தம் இறைவனிடம் "என் இறைவா! நீ என்னை (சந்ததியில்லாமல்) ஒற்றையாக விட்டு விடாதே! நீயோ அனந்தரங்கொள்வோரில் மிகவும் மேலானவன்" என்று பிரார்த்தித் போது

Thereat Zechariah supplicated his Lord. He said, ‘My Lord! Grant me a good offspring from You! Indeed You hear all supplications.’
அந்த இடத்திலேயே ஜகரிய்யா தம் இறைவனிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்தவராகக் கூறினார்; "இறைவனே! உன்னிடமிருந்து எனக்காக ஒரு பரிசுத்தமான சந்ததியைக் கொடுத்தருள்வாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீ பிரார்த்தனையைச் செவிமடுத்தருள்வோனாக இருக்கின்றாய்."

Thereupon Zechariah prayed to his Lord; he said, “My Lord, bestow on me good offspring from Your presence; You are the Hearer of Prayers.”
அந்த இடத்திலேயே ஜகரிய்யா தம் இறைவனிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்தவராகக் கூறினார்; "இறைவனே! உன்னிடமிருந்து எனக்காக ஒரு பரிசுத்தமான சந்ததியைக் கொடுத்தருள்வாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீ பிரார்த்தனையைச் செவிமடுத்தருள்வோனாக இருக்கின்றாய்."

(He was told): "Zechariah, We bring you the good news of the birth of a son whose name shall be Yahya (John), one whose namesake We never created before."
"ஜகரிய்யாவே! யஹ்யா என்ற பெயர் கொண்ட ஒரு புதல்வனை(த் தருவது) பற்றி நிச்சயமாக நாம் உமக்கு நற்செய்தி கூறுகிறோம். இதற்கு முன்னர் இப்பெயர் கொண்டவரை நாம் ஆக்கவில்லை" (என்று இறைவன் கூறினான்).

And We bestowed favour upon Zechariah, when he cried to his Lord: "Lord! Leave me not solitary (without any issue). You are the Best Inheritor."
இன்னும் ஜகரியா தம் இறைவனிடம் "என் இறைவா! நீ என்னை (சந்ததியில்லாமல்) ஒற்றையாக விட்டு விடாதே! நீயோ அனந்தரங்கொள்வோரில் மிகவும் மேலானவன்" என்று பிரார்த்தித் போது

And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while you are the best of inheritors."
இன்னும் ஜகரியா தம் இறைவனிடம் "என் இறைவா! நீ என்னை (சந்ததியில்லாமல்) ஒற்றையாக விட்டு விடாதே! நீயோ அனந்தரங்கொள்வோரில் மிகவும் மேலானவன்" என்று பிரார்த்தித் போது

And [remember] Zechariah, when he cried out to his Lord, ‘My Lord! Do not leave me without an heir, and You are the best of inheritors.’
இன்னும் ஜகரியா தம் இறைவனிடம் "என் இறைவா! நீ என்னை (சந்ததியில்லாமல்) ஒற்றையாக விட்டு விடாதே! நீயோ அனந்தரங்கொள்வோரில் மிகவும் மேலானவன்" என்று பிரார்த்தித் போது

At that, Zechariah called upon his Lord, saying, "My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication."
அந்த இடத்திலேயே ஜகரிய்யா தம் இறைவனிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்தவராகக் கூறினார்; "இறைவனே! உன்னிடமிருந்து எனக்காக ஒரு பரிசுத்தமான சந்ததியைக் கொடுத்தருள்வாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீ பிரார்த்தனையைச் செவிமடுத்தருள்வோனாக இருக்கின்றாய்."

Her Lord accepted her with a gracious reception, and brought her a beautiful upbringing, and entrusted her to the care of Zechariah. Whenever Zechariah entered upon her in the sanctuary, he found her with provision. He said, “O Mary, where did you get this from?” She said, “It is from God; God provides to whom He wills without reckoning.”
அவளுடைய இறைவன் அவள் பிரார்த்தனையை அழகிய முறையில் ஏற்றுக் கொண்டான்;. அக்குழந்தையை அழகாக வளர்த்திடச் செய்தான்;. அதனை வளர்க்கும் பொறுப்பை ஜகரிய்யா ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்படி செய்தான். ஜகரிய்யா அவள் இருந்த மிஹ்ராபுக்குள் (தொழும் அறைக்குப்) போகும் போதெல்லாம், அவளிடம் உணவு இருப்பதைக் கண்டார், "மர்யமே! இ(வ்வுணவான)து உனக்கு எங்கிருந்து வந்தது?" என்று அவர் கேட்டார்; "இது அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து கிடைத்தது - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவர்களுக்குக் கணக்கின்றி உணவளிக்கின்றான்" என்று அவள்(பதில்) கூறினாள்.

So her Lord accepted her with good acceptance and caused her to grow in a good manner and put her in the care of Zechariah. Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the prayer chamber, he found with her provision. He said, "O Mary, from where is this [coming] to you?" She said, "It is from Allah. Indeed, Allah provides for whom He wills without account."
அவளுடைய இறைவன் அவள் பிரார்த்தனையை அழகிய முறையில் ஏற்றுக் கொண்டான்;. அக்குழந்தையை அழகாக வளர்த்திடச் செய்தான்;. அதனை வளர்க்கும் பொறுப்பை ஜகரிய்யா ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்படி செய்தான். ஜகரிய்யா அவள் இருந்த மிஹ்ராபுக்குள் (தொழும் அறைக்குப்) போகும் போதெல்லாம், அவளிடம் உணவு இருப்பதைக் கண்டார், "மர்யமே! இ(வ்வுணவான)து உனக்கு எங்கிருந்து வந்தது?" என்று அவர் கேட்டார்; "இது அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து கிடைத்தது - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவர்களுக்குக் கணக்கின்றி உணவளிக்கின்றான்" என்று அவள்(பதில்) கூறினாள்.

Then Zechariah prayed to his Lord: 'O Lord! Grant me from Yourself out of Your grace the gift of a goodly offspring, for indeed You alone heed all Prayers.'
அந்த இடத்திலேயே ஜகரிய்யா தம் இறைவனிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்தவராகக் கூறினார்; "இறைவனே! உன்னிடமிருந்து எனக்காக ஒரு பரிசுத்தமான சந்ததியைக் கொடுத்தருள்வாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீ பிரார்த்தனையைச் செவிமடுத்தருள்வோனாக இருக்கின்றாய்."
