do not walk proudly on the earth. you cannot cleave the earth, nor can you rival the mountains in height.

this would almost cause the heavens to rent apart, the earth to cleave asunder and the mountains to crumble down in fragments,

(xiv) do not strut about in the land arrogantly. surely you cannot cleave the earth, nor reach the heights of the mountains in stature.
และอย่าเดินบนแผ่นดินอย่างเย่อหยิ่งแท้จริงเจ้าจะแยกแผ่นดินไม่ได้เลย และจะไม่บรรลุความสูงของภูเขา

for the lord will have mercy on jacob, and will yet choose israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of jacob.

and had there not been a word (that had) already gone forth from your lord and an appointed term, it would surely have been made to cleave (to them).
และหากมิใช่ลิขิตจากพระเจ้าของเจ้า ถูกบันทึกไว้ล่วงหน้าก่อนแล้ว แน่นอน การลงโทษจะเกิดขึ้นทันทีอย่างหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้

(o prophet), call to mind when you said to him whom allah had favoured and you had favoured: “cleave to your wife and fear allah,” and you concealed within yourself for fear of people what allah was to reveal, although allah has greater right that you fear him. so when zayd had accomplished what he would of her, we gave her in marriage to you so that there should not be any constraint for the believers regarding the wives of their adopted sons after they had accomplished whatever they would of them. and allah's command was bound to be accomplished.
และจงรำลึกถึงขณะที่เจ้าพูดกับผู้ที่อัลลอฮฺทรงโปรดปรานแก่เขา และเจ้าได้ให้ความสงเคราะห์แก่เขา และจงดูแลรักษาภริยาของเจ้าไว้ให้อยู่กับเจ้า และจงยำเกรงอัลลอฮฺ และเจ้าได้ซ่อนไว้ในจิตใจของเจ้าเรื่องที่อัลลอฮฺจะทรงเปิดเผยมัน และเจ้ากลัวเกรงมนุษย์ แต่อัลลอฮฺทรงสมควรยิ่งกว่าที่เจ้าจะกลัวเกรงพระองค์ ครั้นเมื่อเซด ได้หย่ากับนาง แล้ว เราได้ให้เจ้าแต่งงานกับนางเพื่อที่จะไม่เป็นที่ลำบากใจแก่บรรดาผู้ศรัทธาชายใน เรื่องการ (การสมรสกับ) ภริยาของบุตรบุญธรรมของพวกเขา เมื่อพวกเขาหย่ากับพวกนางแล้วและพระบัญชาของอัลลอฮฺนั้นจะต้อง บรรลุผลเสมอ
