you should not be grieved by what they say. all glory is wholly for god: he is the one who hears and knows everything.

and let not their saying grieve thee. verily honour is allah's wholly. he is the hearer, the knower.

o ye who believe! enter into islam wholly, and follow not the foot steps of the satan, verily he is unto you an enemy manifest.
บรรดาผู้ศรัทธาทั้งหลาย! จงเข้าอยู่ในความสันติ โดยทั่วทั้งหมด และจงอย่าทำตามบรรดาก้าวเดินของชัยฏอน แท้จริงมันคือศัตรูที่ชัดแจ้งของพวกเจ้า

and fight against them until there be no temptations and their obedience be wholly unto allah. so if they desist, thens verily allah is the beholder of that which they do.
“และพวกเจ้าจงสู้รบกับพวกเขา จนกว่าจะไม่มีการปฏิเสธศรัทธาใด ๆ ปรากฏขึ้น และการอิบาดะฮ์ ทุกชนิดนั้นจะต้องเป็นสิทธิ์ของอัลลอฮฺเท่านั้น ถ้าหากพวกเขาหยุดยั้ง แน่นอนอัลลอฮฺนั้นทรงเห็นในสิ่งที่พวกเขากระทำ”

abraham was neither a jew nor a christian; he was a muslim, wholly devoted to god. and he certainly was not amongst those who associate others with allah in his divinity.
อิบรอฮีมไม่เคยเป็นยิวและไม่เคยเป็นคริสต์ แต่ทว่าเขาเป็นผู้หันออกจากความเท็จสู่ความจริง เป็นผู้น้อมตาม และเขาก็ไม่เคยอยู่ในหมู่ผู้ให้มีภาคีขึ้น (แก่อัลลอฮ์)

and who is better in religion than he who submits himself wholly to god, and is a doer of good, and follows the faith of abraham the monotheist? god has chosen abraham for a friend.
และผู้ใดเล่าจะมีศาสนา ดียิ่งไปกว่าผู้ที่มอบใบหน้าของเขาให้แก่อัลลอฮฺ และขณะเดียวกันเขาก็เป็นผู้กระทำดี และปฏิบัติตามแนวทางของอิบรอฮ๊ม ผู้ใฝ่หาความจริง และอัลลอฮฺ ได้ถือเอาอิบรอฮีมเป็นสหาย

and fight them until there be no more temptation, and their obedience be wholly unto allah. so if they desist, then there is to be no violence save against the wrong-doers.
และจงสู้รบกับพวกเขา จนกว่าการก่อความวุ่นวาย จะไม่ปรากฏขึ้น และจนกว่าการอิบาดะฮ์ ทั้งหลายจะเป็นสิทธิของอัลลอฮ์เท่านั้น แต่ถ้าพวกเขายุติ ก็ย่อมไม่มีการเป็นปฏิปักษ์ใด ๆ นอกจากแก่บรรดาผู้อธรรมเท่านั้น

fight them until there is no more [religious] persecution, and religion belongs wholly to god: if they desist, then surely god is watchful of what they do,
“และพวกเจ้าจงสู้รบกับพวกเขา จนกว่าจะไม่มีการปฏิเสธศรัทธาใด ๆ ปรากฏขึ้น และการอิบาดะฮ์ ทุกชนิดนั้นจะต้องเป็นสิทธิ์ของอัลลอฮฺเท่านั้น ถ้าหากพวกเขาหยุดยั้ง แน่นอนอัลลอฮฺนั้นทรงเห็นในสิ่งที่พวกเขากระทำ”

(in spite of such clear signs of the oneness of allah), there are people who set up equals and rivals with allah and adore them with the adoration due to allah. whereas the believers adore allah most ardently. would that these transgressors could realize now what they will realize, when they will see the chastisement before them that power and authority wholly belong to allah and that allah is severe in punishment!
และในหมู่มนุษย์นั้น มีผู้ที่ยึดถือบรรดาภาคี อื่นจากอัลลอฮ์ ซึ่งพวกเขารักภาคีเหล่านั้นเช่นเดียวกับรักอัลลอฮ์ แต่บรรดาผู้ศรัทธานั้นเป็นผู้ที่รักอัลลอฮ์มากยิ่งกว่า และหากบรรดาผู้อธรรมจะได้เห็น ขณะที่พวกเขาเห็นการลงโทษอยู่นั้น (แน่นอนพวกเขาจะต้องตระหนักดีว่า) แท้จริงอัลลอฮ์นั้นเป็นผู้ทรงลงโทษที่รุนแรง
