སའི་གོ་ལ།

may peace prevail on earth
平和が地上に広がるかもしれない

they live for eons and they sustain the earth.
བསྐལ་པར་གནས་པ། ས་འཛིན་པ།

if we used those specks to produce all the dirt on the earth,
དེ་དག་དོགས་ལ་གནས་པའི་རྡུལ་དག་དང་བསྐྲུན་ན་

tunnel beneath the earth and i will yank you up as if with a hook.
ཇི་སྟེ་སའི་འོག་ཏུ་འགྲོ་ན་ནི་མཆིལ་པ་དང་དྲང་བའི་ཚུལ་གྱིས་དྲང་བར་བྱའོ།

he entered his mother’s womb as the earth shook and this world
ཡུམ་གྱི་ལྷུམས་སུ་ཞུགས་པ་དེའི་ཚེ་ན་ས་ཆེན་པོ་ཤིན་ཏུ་གཡོས་པར་གྱུར་ཅིང་འཇིག་རྟེན་འདི་

“sentient beings equal in number to the particles of dirt on the earth

for once its time is up, the body’s solid structures recede into earth,
དེ་ནི་གང་གི་ཚེ་དུས་བྱེད་པ་ན་དེའི་སའི་ལུས་ནི་སའི་བག་ལ་ཞ།

or slaughter, dismember, flog, and tear apart every last being on this earth with the edge of a cakra blade,
ས་གཞི་ཆེན་པོ་འདི་ལ་སེམས་ཅན་གང་དག་ཡོད་པ་དེ་དག་ཐམས་ཅད་འཁོར་ལོའི་མཐའ་སྤུ་གྲི་ལས་བྱས་པས་ཀུན་དུ་གཅོད་པར་བྱེད།

he arranged a bed for his son in the house, along with two clay chamber pots, water, and fresh earth cover,
དེས་ཁྱེའུ་དེ་ཁྱིམ་གྱི་ནང་དུ་མལ་བཅས་ཏེ། གྱོ་མོ་གཉིས་དང་། ཆུ་དང་། ས་དག་བཞག་ནས་

“my sons, do i say i am the one and only philosopher on this earth, that there are no other philosophers?
བུ་དག་ཅི་ཁོ་བོ་ན་རེ་སའི་སྟེང་ན་ཁོ་བོ་གཅིག་པུ་སྨྲ་བ་ཁོ་ན་ཡིན་གྱི་སྨྲ་བ་གཞན་འགའ་ཡང་མེད་དོ་ཞེས་ཟེར་རམ། །

“son, i have placed a chamber pot, water, and fresh earth cover there. defecate in that.”
དེས་སྨྲས་པ། བུ་འདི་ཉིད་དུ་ཁོ་མོས་གྱོ་མོ་དང་། ཆུ་དང་། ས་བཞག་གིས་འདི་ཉིད་དུ་བཤང་བ་བྱོས་ཤིག །

“monks, what do you think? which is more, the dirt i take from the tip of my fingernail or the dirt that is upon this earth?”
དགེ་སློང་དག་ཇི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས། ངས་སེན་མོའི་རྩེ་མོས་རྡུལ་དག་བླངས་པ་གང་དག་ཡིན་པ་དང་། ས་ལ་གནས་པའི་རྡུལ་གང་དག་ཡིན་པ་དེ་དག་གང་མང་སྙམ། །

under him, the whole earth, from sea to sea, will be free from the threat of harm and violence, and will be a realm without punishment or armed expulsion,
དེ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ལ་ཐུག་པའི་ས་ཆེན་པོ་མ་ལུས་པ་གནོད་པར་སྡོ་བ་མེད་ཅིང་འཚེ་བ་མེད་པ་འདི་ཉིད་ཆད་པ་མེད་ཅིང་མཚོན་གྱིས་བདའ་བ་མེད་ལ།

she arranged a bed for her son in the house, along with two clay chamber pots, water, and fresh earth cover, and installed her son in the house, saying,
དེས་ཁྱེའུ་དེ་ཁྱིམ་གྱི་ནང་དུ་མལ་བཅས་ཏེ་གྱོ་མོ་གཉིས་དང་། ཆུ་དང་། ས་དག་བཞག་ནས་ཁྱིམ་དེར་བཅུག་སྟེ།
