اور جب ستارے (اپنی کہکشاؤں سے) گر پڑیں گے،
and when the stars darken,

پھر تمہارے دل سخت ہوگئے جیسے پتھر یا اس سے بھی کچھ زیادہ سخت کہ پتھروں میں سے تو بعض سے نہریں بھی جاری ہوجاتی ہیںاور بعض شگافتہ ہوجاتے ہیں تو ان سے پانی نکل آتا ہے اور بعض خورِ خدا سے گر پڑتے ہیں. لیکن اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے غافل نہیں ہے
then after it, your hearts hardened – so they are like rocks, or even harder; for there are some rocks that rivers gush forth from them; and some that water flows from them when they split asunder; and there are rocks that fall down for the fear of allah; and allah is not unaware of your deeds.

خاص الله کے ہو کر رہو اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کرو اور جو الله کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک کرتا ہے تو گویا وہ آسمان سے گر پڑا پھر اسے پرندے اچک لیتے ہیں یا اسے ہوا اڑا کر کسی دور جگہ پھینک دیتی ہے
as persons having pure faith in allah, not ascribing partners to him. whoever ascribes partners to allah is as though he had fallen from a height, then [his corpse] is devoured by vultures, or [his remains are] blown away by the wind far and wide.

(جن سیڑھیوں سے) فرشتے اور اہلِ ایمان کی روحیں اس کے پاس چڑھ کر جاتی ہیں (اور وہ عذاب) اس دن ہو گا جس کی مقدار پچاس ہزار سال کی ہے
(whereby) the angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a day whereof the span is fifty thousand years.

اللہ کی توحید کو مانتے ہوئے اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کرتے ہوئے۔ سنو! اللہ کے ساتھ شریک کرنے واﻻ گویا آسمان سے گر پڑا، اب یا تو اسے پرندے اچک لے جائیں گے یا ہوا کسی دور دراز کی جگہ پھینک دے گی
as persons having pure faith in allah, not ascribing partners to him. whoever ascribes partners to allah is as though he had fallen from a height, then [his corpse] is devoured by vultures, or [his remains are] blown away by the wind far and wide.

ان سے پہلے لوگوں نے بھی (ایسی ہی) مکاریاں کی تھیں تو خدا (کا حکم) ان کی عمارت کے ستونوں پر آپہنچا اور چھت ان پر ان کے اوپر سے گر پڑی اور (ایسی طرف سے) ان پر عذاب آ واقع ہوا جہاں سے ان کو خیال بھی نہ تھا
indeed those before them had plotted, so allah seized the foundations of their building, therefore the roof fell down upon them from a height, and the punishment came upon them from a place they did not know.
