اور ہم نے اس کا فیصلہ سلیمان کو سمجھا دیا تھا اور ہم نے ہر ایک کو حکمت اور علم عطا کیا تھا اور ہم نے داؤد کے ساتھ پہاڑوں اور پرندوں کو مسخر کر دیا تھا جو ان کے ساتھ تسبیح کیا کرتے تھے اور (یہ کام) کرنے والے ہم ہی تھے۔

when they have reached their term, either keep them honorably or part from them honorably. call two honest men among you to witness and give yourwitnessing before allah. whoever believes in allah and the last day is warned to do this. whosoever fears allah, he will appoint for him a way out,
تو جب وہ اپنی (مقررہ) عدت کی مدت کو پہنچ جائیں تو ان کو یا تو قاعدہ (اور شائستہ طریقہ) سے (اپنے نکاح میں) روک لو یا پھر قاعدہ (اور اچھے طریقہ) سے جدا کر دو اور اپنے میں سے دو عادل آدمیوں کو گواہ بناؤ اور خدا کیلئے صحیح گواہی دو ان باتوں سے اس شخص کو نصیحت کی جاتی ہے جو اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہے اور جو کوئی خدا سے ڈرتا ہے اللہ اس کیلئے (مشکل سے نجات کا) راستہ پیدا کر دیتا ہے۔

he who is unable shall fast for two successive months before they touch one another. if he is unable to do this, let him feed sixty needy people that, so that you believe in allah and his messenger. such are the bounds of allah. there is a painful punishment awaiting the unbelievers.
جس کو غلام نہ ملے وہ مجامعت سے پہلے متواتر دو مہینے کے روزے (رکھے) جس کو اس کا بھی مقدور نہ ہوا (اسے) ساٹھ مسکینوں کو کھانا کھلانا (چاہیئے) ۔ یہ (حکم) اس لئے (ہے) کہ تم خدا اور اسکے رسول کے فرمانبردار ہوجاؤ۔ اور یہ خدا کی حدیں ہیں۔ اور نہ ماننے والوں کے لئے درد دینے والا عذاب ہے
