and i do not think the hour will occur. and even if i should be brought back to my lord, i will surely find better than this as a return."
Ва он мард ситам бар худаш карда ба боғи худ ҳам маро назди Худо баранд, ҷойгоҳе беҳтар аз ин боғ хоҳам ёфт».

or it should say when it sees the punishment: were there only a returning for me, i should be of the doers of good.

"or (lest) it should say: 'if only allah had guided me, i should certainly have been among the righteous!'-

[moses] said, "if i should ask you about anything after this, then do not keep me as a companion. you have obtained from me an excuse."
Гуфт: «Агар аз ин пас аз ту чизе бипурсам, бо ман ҳамроҳӣ макун, ки аз ҷониби ман маъзур бошӣ».

he said, "o my people, have you considered: if i should be upon clear evidence from my lord and he has given me mercy from himself, who would protect me from allah if i disobeyed him?
Гуфт: «Эй қавми ман, чӣ гӯед агар аз Парвардигорам ҳуҷҷате ба ҳамроҳ дошта бошам ва Ӯ маро раҳмати худ арзонӣ карда бошад, чӣ касе маро ёрӣ мекунад, агар аз фармонаш сарпечӣ кунам?

he said, "o my people have you considered: if i should be upon clear evidence from my lord while he has given me mercy from himself but it has been made unapparent to you, should we force it upon you while you are averse to it?
Гуфт: «Эй қавми ман, чӣ мегӯед, агар аз Парвардигорам ҳуҷҷате ба ҳамроҳ дошта бошам ва Ӯ маро раҳмати хеш арзонӣ карда бошад ва шумо аз дидани он нотавон бошед, оё дар ҳоле, ки худ намехоҳед, шуморо ба зӯрӣ ба қабули Ӯ водорем?

"or (lest) it should say when it (actually) sees the penalty: 'if only i had another chance, i should certainly be among those who do good!'
Ё чун азобро бубинад, бигӯяд: «Агар бори дигар ба дунё бозмегардидам, аз некӯкорон мешудам!»

and spend out of what we have given you before death comes to one of you, so that he should say: my lord! why didst thou not respite me to a near term, so that i should have given alms and been of the doers of good deeds?
Аз он чӣ рӯзиятон додаем, дар роҳи Худо садақа кунед, пеш аз он ки яке' аз шуморо марг фаро расад ва бигӯяд; «Эй Парвардигори ман, чаро марги маро андаке ба дертар наяндохтӣ, то садақа диҳам ва аз шоистагон бошам?»

and if we let him taste mercy from us after an adversity which has touched him, he will surely say, "this is [due] to me, and i do not think the hour will occur; and [even] if i should be returned to my lord, indeed, for me there will be with him the best."
Агар пас аз ранҷе, ки ба ӯ расида, раҳмате ба ӯ бичашонем, мегӯяд: «Ин ҳаққи ман аст ва напиндорам, ки қиёмате барпо шавад. Ва агар ҳам маро назди Парвардигорам баргардонанд, албатта, ки назди Ӯ ҳолате хуштар бошад».
