'their wage shall be given them twice, because they have endured patiently, averting evil with good and spending from what we have given them;
இவர்கள் பொறுமையை மேற்கொண்டமைக்காக இருமறை நற்கூலி அளிக்கப்படுவார்கள்; மேலும், இவர்கள் நன்மையைக் கொண்டு தீமையைத் தடுத்துக் கொள்வார்கள்; நாம் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தவற்றிலிருந்து (தானம் தருமங்களில்) செலவும் செய்வார்கள்.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோர் என்றால் அல்லாஹ்(வின் திரு நாமம்) கூறப்பெற்றால், அவர்களுடைய இதயங்கள் அச்சத்தால் நடுங்கும்; அன்றியும் தங்களுக்கு ஏற்படும் துன்பங்களைப் பொறுமையுடன் சகித்துக் கொள்வோராகவும், தொழுகையைச் சரிவரக் கடைப்பிடிப்போராகவும், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்தவற்றிலிருந்து (இறவைனின் பாதையில்) செலவு செய்வோராகவும் இருப்பார்க்ள.

they almost lured you away from what we have revealed to you, so that you would invent something else in our name. in that case, they would have taken you for a friend.
(நபியே!) இன்னும் நாம் உமக்கு வஹீ மூலம் அறிவித்தோமே அதை விட்டும், அதல்லாததை நம்மீது நீர் இட்டுக்கட்டிக் கூறும்படி உம்மைத் திருப்பிவிடவே அவர்கள் முனைந்தார்கள்; (அவ்வாறு நீர் செய்திருந்தால்) உம்மை தம் உற்ற நண்பராகவும் அப்போது எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

indeed those who read the book of allah, and keep the prayer established, and spend from what we have bestowed upon them in secret and publicly, are hopeful of a trade in which there is never a loss.
நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் வேதத்தை ஓதுகிறார்களோ - தொழுகையை முறையாகக் கடைப்பிடித்து ஒழுகுகிறார்களோ - நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்திருப்பதிலிருந்து இரகசியமாகவும், வெளிப்படையாகவும் (அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில்) செலவு செய்கிறார்களோ, (ஆகிய இவர்கள்) என்றும் அழியாத ஒரு வியாபாரத்தையே ஆதரவு வைக்கிறார்கள்.

and those who obeyed the command of their lord and kept the prayer established; and whose affairs are with mutual consultation; and who spend in our cause from what we have bestowed upon them.
இன்னும் தங்கள் இறைவன் கட்டளைகளை ஏற்று தொழுகையை (ஒழுங்குப்படி) நிலைநிறுத்துவார்கள் - அன்றியும் தம் காரியங்களைத் தம்மிடையே கலந்தாலோசித்துக் கொள்வர்; மேலும், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்தவற்றிலிருந்து (தானமாகச்) செலவு செய்வார்கள்.

and those who have responded to their lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and from what we have provided them, they spend.
இன்னும் தங்கள் இறைவன் கட்டளைகளை ஏற்று தொழுகையை (ஒழுங்குப்படி) நிலைநிறுத்துவார்கள் - அன்றியும் தம் காரியங்களைத் தம்மிடையே கலந்தாலோசித்துக் கொள்வர்; மேலும், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்தவற்றிலிருந்து (தானமாகச்) செலவு செய்வார்கள்.

they said, “did you come to us to divert us from what we found our ancestors following, and so that you become prominent in the land? we will never believe in you.”
(அதற்கு) அவர்கள்; எங்கள் மூதாதையர்களை எதன் மீது நாங்கள் கண்டோமோ அதிலிருந்து எங்களைத் திருப்பிவிடவும், இந்த பூமியில் உங்கள் இருவருக்கும் பெருமையை உண்டாக்கிக் கொள்வதற்குமா நீங்கள் எங்களிடம் வந்தீர்கள்? ஆனால் நாங்கள் உங்களிருவர் மீதும் நம்பிக்கை கொள்பவர்களல்லர்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

"have you come," said they, "to turn us back from what we found our ancestors doing, so that the two of you may attain supremacy in the land? we shall not believe in what you say.
(அதற்கு) அவர்கள்; எங்கள் மூதாதையர்களை எதன் மீது நாங்கள் கண்டோமோ அதிலிருந்து எங்களைத் திருப்பிவிடவும், இந்த பூமியில் உங்கள் இருவருக்கும் பெருமையை உண்டாக்கிக் கொள்வதற்குமா நீங்கள் எங்களிடம் வந்தீர்கள்? ஆனால் நாங்கள் உங்களிருவர் மீதும் நம்பிக்கை கொள்பவர்களல்லர்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.
