and we gave to dawood sulaiman, most excellent the servant! surely he was frequent in returning (to allah).
இன்னும் தாவூதுக்கு(ப் புதல்வராக) ஸுலைமானை வழங்கினோம்; சிறப்பான (நம்) நல்லடியார், நிச்சயமாக அவர் (எதிலும் நம்மையே) நோக்குபவர்.

and assuredly we vouchsafed unto daud and sulaiman a knowledge, and the twain said: praise unto allah who hath preferred us above many of his believing bondmen!
தாவூதுக்கும், ஸுலைமானுக்கும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் கல்வி ஞானத்தைக் கொடுத்தோம்; அதற்கு அவ்விருவரும்; "புகழ் அனைத்தும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியது அவன் தான், முஃமின்களான தன் நல்லடியார்களில் அநேகரைவிட நம்மை மேன்மையாக்கினான்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

and certainly we tried sulaiman, and we put on his throne a (mere) body, so he turned (to allah).

(நபியே!) நூஹுக்கும், அவருக்குப் பின் வந்த (இதர) நபிமார்களுக்கும் நாம் வஹீ அறிவித்தது போலவே, உமக்கும் நிச்சயமாக வஹீ அறிவித்தோம். மேலும், இப்றாஹீமுக்கும், இஸ்மாயீலுக்கும், இஸ்ஹாக்குக்கும், யஃகூபுக்கும் (அவர்களுடைய) சந்ததியினருக்கும், ஈஸாவுக்கும், அய்யூபுக்கும், யூனுஸுக்கும், ஹாரூனுக்கும், ஸுலைமானுக்கும் நாம் வஹீ அறிவித்தோம்;. இன்னும் தாவூதுக்கு ஜபூர் (என்னும் வேதத்தைக்) கொடுத்தோம்.

and (we made subservient) to sulaiman the wind blowing violent, pursuing its course by his command to the land which we had blessed, and we are knower of all things.
இன்னும் ஸுலைமானுக்குக் கடுமையாக வீசும் காற்றையும் (நாம் வசப்படுத்திக் கொடுத்தோம்) அது, அவருடைய ஏவலின் படி, நாம் எந்த பூமியை பாக்கியமுடையதாக்கினோமோ (அந்த பூமிக்கும் அவரை எடுத்துச்) சென்றது இவ்வாறு, ஒவ்வொரு பொருளையும் பற்றி நாம் அறிந்தோராகவே இருக்கின்றோம்.

and daud and sulaiman! recall what time they gave judgment regarding the tillage when certain people's sheep had pastured therein at night; and of the judgment concerning them we were the witnesses.
இன்னும் தாவூதும், ஸுலைமானும் (பற்றி நினைவு கூர்வீராக!) வேளாண்மை நிலத்தில் அவர்களுடைய சமூகத்தாரின் ஆடுகள் இரவில் இறங்கி மேய்ந்த போது, அதைப் பற்றி அவ்விருவரும் தீர்ப்புச் செய்த போது, அவர்களுடைய தீர்ப்பை நாம் கவனித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தோம்.

and they follow that which the satans recited in the reign of sulaiman; and sulaiman blasphemed not, but the satans blasphemed.; teaching people magic; and they follow that also which was sent down unto the two angels in babil, harut, and marut. unto none the twain taught it until they had said: we are but a temptation, so blaspheme not; but they learned from the twain that wherewith they might separate man from his wife; and they could harm none thereby save by allah's will. and they have learnt that which harmeth them, and profiteth them not; and assuredly they know that whosoever purchaseth it, his is no portion in the hereafter. and surely vile is the price for which they have bartered themselves, if they but knew!
அவர்கள் ஸுலைமானின் ஆட்சிக்கு எதிராக ஷைத்தான்கள் ஓதியவற்றையே பின்பற்றினார்கள்;. ஆனால் ஸுலைமான் ஒருபோதும் நிராகரித்தவர் அல்லர். ஷைத்தான்கள் தாம் நிராகரிப்பவர்கள். அவர்கள்தாம் மனிதர்களுக்குச் சூனியத்தைக் கற்றுக்கொடுத்தார்கள்; இன்னும், பாபில் (பாபிலோன் என்னும் ஊரில்) ஹாருத், மாருத் என்ற இரண்டு மலக்குகளுக்கு இறக்கப்பட்டதையும் (தவறான வழியில் பிரயோகிக்கக் கற்றுக்கொடுத்தார்கள்). ஆனால் அவர்கள் (மலக்குகள்) இருவரும்; "நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் சோதனையாக இருக்கிறோம்; (இதைக் கற்று) நீங்கள் நிராகரிக்கும் காஃபிர்கள் ஆகிவிடாதீர்கள்" என்று சொல்லி எச்சரிக்காத வரையில், எவருக்கும் இ(ந்த சூனியத்)தைக் கற்றுக் கொடுக்கவில்லை, அப்படியிருந்தும் கணவன் - மனைவியிடையே பிரிவை உண்டாக்கும் செயலை அவர்களிடமிருந்து கற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள். எனினும் அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளையின்றி அவர்கள் எவருக்கும் எத்தகைய தீங்கும் இதன் மூலம் இழைக்க முடியாது. தங்களுக்குத் தீங்கிழைப்பதையும், எந்த வித நன்மையும் தராததையுமே - கற்றுக் கொண்டார்கள். (சூனியத்தை) விலை கொடுத்து வாங்கிக் கொண்டவர்களுக்கு, மறுமையில் யாதொரு பாக்கியமும் இல்லை என்பதை அவர்கள் நன்கறிந்துள்ளார்கள். அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஆத்மாக்களை விற்றுப்பெற்றுக்கொண்டது கெட்டதாகும். இதை அவர்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?
