քանի որ դեռ չէին հասկացել գրուածքը, թէ՝ մեռելներից պէտք է յարութիւն առնի:

Այս երրորդ անգամն էր, որ Յիսուս երեւաց իր աշակերտներին՝ մեռելներից յարութիւն առնելուց յետոյ:

Իսկ Յիսուս զատկից վեց օր առաջ եկաւ Բեթանիա, ուր ապրում էր մեռած Ղազարոսը, որին մեռելներից վեր էր կացրել:
then jesus six days before the passover came to bethany, where lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

Նրանք այս խօսքը իրենց մտքում պահում էին եւ միմեանց հարցնում էին, թէ ի՛նչ է մեռելներից յարութիւն առնելը:
and they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

Եւ Աբրահամը նրան ասաց. «Եթէ Մովսէսին եւ մարգարէներին չեն լսում, մեռելներից մէկն էլ եթէ յարութիւն առնի, չպիտի համոզուեն»:
and he said unto him, if they hear not moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

«Նա՛ է Յովհաննէս Մկրտիչը. մեռելներից յարութիւն է առել, եւ դրա համար նրա միջոցով զօրաւոր գործեր են լինում»:
and said unto his servants, this is john the baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

Երբ Հերովդէսը այս լսեց, ասաց. «Յովհաննէսը, որի գլուխը կտրեցի ես, սա նա՛ է. մեռելներից յարութիւն է առել»:
but when herod heard thereof, he said, it is john, whom i beheaded: he is risen from the dead.

Եւ մինչ լեռից իջնում էին, Յիսուս նրանց պատուիրեց ու ասաց. «Այդ տեսիլքը մարդու չասէք, մինչեւ որ մարդու Որդին մեռելներից յարութիւն առնի»:
and as they came down from the mountain, jesus charged them, saying, tell the vision to no man, until the son of man be risen again from the dead.

իսկ նրանք, որոնք արժանի կը լինեն այն աշխարհին հասնելու եւ մեռելներից յարութիւն առնելու, ո՛չ կին են առնում եւ ո՛չ էլ մարդու են գնում,
but they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

Եւ նա ասաց. «Ո՛չ, հա՛յր Աբրահամ. բայց եթէ մեռելներից մէկը նրանց մօտ գնայ, նրանք կ՚ապաշխարեն»:
and he said, nay, father abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

Երբ հրեաներից բազում ժողովուրդ իմացաւ, որ նա այնտեղ է, եկաւ. ոչ միայն Յիսուսի պատճառով, այլ՝ որպէսզի տեսնի նաեւ Ղազարոսին, որին մեռելներից վեր էր կացրել:
much people of the jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for jesus' sake only, but that they might see lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

«Վե՛ր կաց, վերցրո՛ւ այդ մանկանն ու իր մօրը եւ վերադարձի՛ր Իսրայէլի երկիրը, որովհետեւ մեռան նրանք, որ այդ մանկան մահն էին ուզում»:
saying, arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.
