ተንኮልንም መከሩ ፡ ፡ እነርሱም የማያወቁ ሲኾኑ በተንኮላቸው አጠፋናቸው ፡ ፡

ይህ ( ዕውነት ነው ) ፡ ፡ አላህም የከሓዲዎችን ተንኮል አድካሚ ነው ፡ ፡

he said , " my lord , since you have let me go astray . i shall make the path of error seem alluring to them on the earth and shall mislead them all ,
( ኢብሊስ ) አለ « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እኔን በማጥመምህ ይኹንብኝ ለነርሱ በምድር ላይ ( ኀጢአትን ) እሸልምላቸዋለሁ ፡ ፡ ሁሉንም አጠማቸዋለሁም ፡ ፡ »

he said : my lord ! because thou hast sent me astray , i verily shall adorn the path of error for them in the earth , and shall mislead them every one ,
( ኢብሊስ ) አለ « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እኔን በማጥመምህ ይኹንብኝ ለነርሱ በምድር ላይ ( ኀጢአትን ) እሸልምላቸዋለሁ ፡ ፡ ሁሉንም አጠማቸዋለሁም ፡ ፡ »

from my signs i will turn away the unrightfully , arrogant in the land , so that even if they witness every sign they would not believe it . if they see the path of righteousness , they shall not take it as a path ; but if they see the path of error , they shall take it for their path because they belied our signs and were inattentive towards them .
እነዚያን ያለአግባብ በምድር ላይ የሚኮሩትን ከአንቀጾቼ በእርግጥ አዞራቸዋለሁ ፡ ፡ ተዓምርንም ሁሉ ቢያዩ በርሷ አያምኑም ፡ ፡ ቅንንም መንገድ ቢያዩ መንገድ አድርገው አይዙትም ፡ ፡ ግን የጥመትን መንገድ ቢያዩ መንገድ አድርገው ይይዙታል ፡ ፡ ይህ እነርሱ በአንቀጾቻችን ስለአስተባበሉና ከእርሷም ዘንጊዎች ስለኾኑ ነው ፡ ፡

[ iblis ( satan ) ] said : " o my lord ! because you misled me , i shall indeed adorn the path of error for them ( mankind ) on the earth , and i shall mislead them all .
( ኢብሊስ ) አለ « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እኔን በማጥመምህ ይኹንብኝ ለነርሱ በምድር ላይ ( ኀጢአትን ) እሸልምላቸዋለሁ ፡ ፡ ሁሉንም አጠማቸዋለሁም ፡ ፡ »
