ከቁርኣንም ለምእመናን መድኀኒትና እዝነት የኾነን እናወርዳለን ፡ ፡ በዳዮችንም ከሳራን እንጂ ሌላ አይጨምርላቸውም ፡ ፡

originator of the heavens and the earth . he made for you mates from among yourselves , and pairs of animals , by means of which he multiplies you .
ሰማያትንና ምድርን ፈጣሪ ነው ፡ ፡ ከነፍሶቻችሁ ሴቶችን ከቤት እንስሳዎችም ዓይነቶችን ( ወንዶችና ሴቶችን ) ለእናንተ አደረገላችሁ ፡ ፡ በእርሱ ያበዛችኋል ፡ ፡ የሚመስለው ምንም ነገር የለም ፡ ፡ እርሱም ሰሚው ተመልካቹ ነው ፡ ፡

repel , by [ means of ] what is best , [ their ] evil . we are most knowing of what they describe .
በዚያች እርስዋ መልካም በኾነችው ( ጠባይ ) መጥፎይቱን ነገር ገፍትር ፡ ፡ እኛ የሚሉትን ሁሉ ዐዋቂዎች ነን ፡ ፡

satan seeks to sow enmity and hatred among you by means of wine and gambling , and to keep you from the remembrance of god and from your prayers . will you not then abstain ?
ሰይጣን የሚፈልገው በሚያሰክር መጠጥና በቁማር በመካከላችሁ ጠብንና ጥላቻን ሊጥል አላህን ከማውሳትና ከስግደትም ሊያግዳችሁ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ ታዲያ እናንተ ( ከእነዚህ ) ተከልካዮች ናችሁን ( ተከልከሉ ) ፡ ፡

marvel ye that there should come unto you a reminder from your lord by means of a man among you , that he may warn you , and that ye may keep from evil , and that haply ye may find mercy .
« አላህን ልትፈሩና ይታዘንላችሁም ዘንድ ከእናንተው ( ጎሳ ) በኾነ ሰው ላይ እንዲያስጠነቅቃችሁ ከጌታችሁ ግሳጼ ቢመጣላችሁ ትደነቃላችሁን » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

do not give those who are of immature mind your property which god has granted you as a means of support : make provision for them out of it , and clothe them , and give them good advice .
ቂሎችንም ያችን አላህ ለእናንተ መተዳደሪያ ያደረጋትን ገንዘቦቻችውን ( የያዛችሁላቸውን ) አትስጡዋቸው ፡ ፡ ከርሷም መግቡዋቸው አልብሱዋቸውም ፡ ፡ ለእነሱም መልካምን ንግግር ተናገሩ ፡ ፡

and thus we have tried some of them by means of others , that they might say : are those they whom god hath favoured amongst us ? is not allah the best knower of the thankful ?
እንደዚሁም « ከመካከላችን አላህ የለገሰላቸው እነዚህ ናቸውን » ይሉ ዘንድ ከፊላቸውን በከፊሉ ሞከርን ፡ ፡ አላህ አመስጋኞቹን ዐዋቂ አይደለምን

believers , allah will test you by means of some hunting which you can catch with your hands and with your spears , in order that allah knows those who fear him in private . for he who transgresses thereafter shall be a painful punishment .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ( በሐጅ ጊዜ ) እጆቻችሁና ጦሮቻችሁ በሚያገኙት ታዳኝ አውሬ አላህ ይሞክራችኋል ፡ ፡ በሩቅ ኾኖ የሚፈራውን ሰው አላህ ሊገልጽ ( ይሞክራችኋል ) ፡ ፡ ከዚያም በኋላ ወሰንን ያለፈና ያደነ ሰው ለርሱ አሳማሚ ቅጣት አለው ፡ ፡

do not , like the woman who unravels her yarn after its strands have been firmly spun , use your oaths as a means of deceiving one another , just because one community could become bigger than another . god is only testing you by means of this .
( ቃል ኪዳናችሁን በማፍረስ አንዲቱ ) ሕዝብ እርሷ ከ ( ሌላይቱ ) ሕዝብ የበዛች ለመኾንዋ በመካከላችሁ መሓሎቻችሁን ( ለክዳት ) መግቢያ አድርጋችሁ የምትይዙ ስትኾኑ እንደዚያች ፈትልዋን ከጠነከረ በኋላ ትርትሮች አድርጋ እንዳፈረሰችው ( ሴት ) አትኹኑ ፡ ፡ አላህ በእርሱ ይሞክራችኋል ፤ በትንሣኤ ቀንም በእርሱ ትለያዩበት የነበራችሁትን ነገር ለእናንተ በእርግጥ ያብራራላችኋል ፡ ፡

satan seeketh only to cast among you enmity and hatred by means of strong drink and games of chance , and to turn you from remembrance of allah and from ( his ) worship . will ye then have done ?
ሰይጣን የሚፈልገው በሚያሰክር መጠጥና በቁማር በመካከላችሁ ጠብንና ጥላቻን ሊጥል አላህን ከማውሳትና ከስግደትም ሊያግዳችሁ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ ታዲያ እናንተ ( ከእነዚህ ) ተከልካዮች ናችሁን ( ተከልከሉ ) ፡ ፡

david killed goliath , and god gave him kingship and wisdom , and imparted to him the knowledge of whatever he willed . had it not been for god 's repelling some people by means of others , the earth would have been filled with corruption .
በአላህም ፈቃድ ድል መቷቸው ፡ ፡ ዳውድም ጃሉትን ( ዳዊት ጎልያድን ) ገደለ ፡ ፡ ንግሥናንና ጥበብንም ( ነቢይነትን ) አላህ ሰጠው ፡ ፡ ከሚሻውም ነገር ሁሉ አሳወቀው ፡ ፡ አላህም ሰዎችን ከፊላቸውን በከፊሉ መመለሱ ባልነበረ ኖሮ ምድር በተበላሸች ነበር ፤ ግን አላህ በዓለማት ላይ የችሮታ ባለቤት ነው ፡ ፡

and they defeated them by god s ’ leave , and david killed goliath , and god gave him sovereignty and wisdom , and taught him as he willed . were it not for god restraining the people , some by means of others , the earth would have gone to ruin .
በአላህም ፈቃድ ድል መቷቸው ፡ ፡ ዳውድም ጃሉትን ( ዳዊት ጎልያድን ) ገደለ ፡ ፡ ንግሥናንና ጥበብንም ( ነቢይነትን ) አላህ ሰጠው ፡ ፡ ከሚሻውም ነገር ሁሉ አሳወቀው ፡ ፡ አላህም ሰዎችን ከፊላቸውን በከፊሉ መመለሱ ባልነበረ ኖሮ ምድር በተበላሸች ነበር ፤ ግን አላህ በዓለማት ላይ የችሮታ ባለቤት ነው ፡ ፡

and do not give away your property which allah has made for you a ( means of ) support to the weak of understanding , and maintain them out of ( the profits of ) it , and clothe them and speak to them words of honest advice .
ቂሎችንም ያችን አላህ ለእናንተ መተዳደሪያ ያደረጋትን ገንዘቦቻችውን ( የያዛችሁላቸውን ) አትስጡዋቸው ፡ ፡ ከርሷም መግቡዋቸው አልብሱዋቸውም ፡ ፡ ለእነሱም መልካምን ንግግር ተናገሩ ፡ ፡

so they routed them by allah 's leave and dawud ( david ) killed jalut ( goliath ) , and allah gave him [ dawud ( david ) ] the kingdom [ after the death of talut ( saul ) and samuel ] and al-hikmah ( prophethood ) , and taught him of that which he willed . and if allah did not check one set of people by means of another , the earth would indeed be full of mischief .
በአላህም ፈቃድ ድል መቷቸው ፡ ፡ ዳውድም ጃሉትን ( ዳዊት ጎልያድን ) ገደለ ፡ ፡ ንግሥናንና ጥበብንም ( ነቢይነትን ) አላህ ሰጠው ፡ ፡ ከሚሻውም ነገር ሁሉ አሳወቀው ፡ ፡ አላህም ሰዎችን ከፊላቸውን በከፊሉ መመለሱ ባልነበረ ኖሮ ምድር በተበላሸች ነበር ፤ ግን አላህ በዓለማት ላይ የችሮታ ባለቤት ነው ፡ ፡
