for our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:
ልመናችን ከስሕተት ወይም ከርኵሰት ወይም ከተንኰል አልነበረምና፤

do not argue for those who harbour deceit in their hearts , for god does not love the treacherous and the iniquitous .
ከእነዚያም ነፍሶቻቸውን ከሚበድሉት ላይ አትከራከር ፡ ፡ አላህ ከዳተኛ ኃጢአተኛ የኾነን ሰው አይወድምና ፡ ፡

the devil promises them and arouses desires in them ; and the devil does not give them promises except of deceit .
( የማይፈጸመውን ) ተስፋ ይሰጣቸዋል ፡ ፡ ያስመኛቸዋልም ፡ ፡ ሰይጣንም ለማታለል እንጅ አይቀጥራቸውም ፡ ፡

thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
ዝሙት፥ መስረቅ፥ መግደል፥ ምንዝርነት፥ መጐምጀት፥ ክፋት፥ ተንኰል፥ መዳራት፥ ምቀኝነት፥ ስድብ፥ ትዕቢት፥ ስንፍና ናቸውና፤

their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
ጕሮሮአቸው እንደ ተከፈተ መቃብር ነው፥ በመላሳቸውም ሸንግለዋል፤ የእባብ መርዝ ከከንፈሮቻቸው በታች አለ፤

beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after christ.
እንደ ክርስቶስ ትምህርት ሳይሆን፥ እንደ ሰው ወግና እንደ ዓለማዊ እንደ መጀመሪያ ትምህርት ባለ በፍልስፍና በከንቱም መታለል ማንም እንዳይማርካችሁ ተጠበቁ።

do not be like the lady behind the spinning wheel who has broken the yarn by pulling it with unnecessary force . you must not consider your oaths as means of deceit to benefit one party and incur loss upon the other .
( ቃል ኪዳናችሁን በማፍረስ አንዲቱ ) ሕዝብ እርሷ ከ ( ሌላይቱ ) ሕዝብ የበዛች ለመኾንዋ በመካከላችሁ መሓሎቻችሁን ( ለክዳት ) መግቢያ አድርጋችሁ የምትይዙ ስትኾኑ እንደዚያች ፈትልዋን ከጠነከረ በኋላ ትርትሮች አድርጋ እንዳፈረሰችው ( ሴት ) አትኹኑ ፡ ፡ አላህ በእርሱ ይሞክራችኋል ፤ በትንሣኤ ቀንም በእርሱ ትለያዩበት የነበራችሁትን ነገር ለእናንተ በእርግጥ ያብራራላችኋል ፡ ፡

and call to mind when the hypocrites and all those with diseased hearts said : “ all that allah and his messenger had promised us was nothing but deceit . ”
መናፍቆችና እነዚያ በልቦቻቸው ውስጥ በሽታ ያለባቸውም « አላህና መልክተኛው ማታለልን እንጂ ሌላን አልቀጠሩንም » በሚሉ ጊዜ ( ያደረገላችሁን አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡

it was there that the hypocrites and those whose hearts were sick , said , " the promise of god and his messenger has proved to be nothing but deceit " .
መናፍቆችና እነዚያ በልቦቻቸው ውስጥ በሽታ ያለባቸውም « አላህና መልክተኛው ማታለልን እንጂ ሌላን አልቀጠሩንም » በሚሉ ጊዜ ( ያደረገላችሁን አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡

and do not become like the woman who , after having painstakingly spun her yarn , caused it to disintegrate into pieces . you resort to oaths as instruments of mutual deceit so that one people might take greater advantage than another although allah puts you to the test through this .
( ቃል ኪዳናችሁን በማፍረስ አንዲቱ ) ሕዝብ እርሷ ከ ( ሌላይቱ ) ሕዝብ የበዛች ለመኾንዋ በመካከላችሁ መሓሎቻችሁን ( ለክዳት ) መግቢያ አድርጋችሁ የምትይዙ ስትኾኑ እንደዚያች ፈትልዋን ከጠነከረ በኋላ ትርትሮች አድርጋ እንዳፈረሰችው ( ሴት ) አትኹኑ ፡ ፡ አላህ በእርሱ ይሞክራችኋል ፤ በትንሣኤ ቀንም በእርሱ ትለያዩበት የነበራችሁትን ነገር ለእናንተ በእርግጥ ያብራራላችኋል ፡ ፡

and when the hypocrites , and those in whose hearts is a disease , began saying , “ allah and his noble messenger have not given us a promise except one of deceit . ”
መናፍቆችና እነዚያ በልቦቻቸው ውስጥ በሽታ ያለባቸውም « አላህና መልክተኛው ማታለልን እንጂ ሌላን አልቀጠሩንም » በሚሉ ጊዜ ( ያደረገላችሁን አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡

" and istafziz [ literally means : befool them gradually ] those whom you can among them with your voice ( i.e. songs , music , and any other call for allah 's disobedience ) , make assaults on them with your cavalry and your infantry , mutually share with them wealth and children ( by tempting them to earn money by illegal ways usury , etc . , or by committing illegal sexual intercourse , etc . ) , and make promises to them . " but satan promises them nothing but deceit .
« ከእነሱ የቻልከውንም ሰው በድምጽህ አታል ፡ ፡ በእነሱም ላይ በፈረሰኞችህ ፣ በእግረኞችህም ኾነህ ለልብ ፡ ፡ በገንዘቦቻቸውም ፣ በልጆቻቸውም ተጋራቸው ፣ ተስፋ ቃልም ግባላቸው ፡ ፡ ሰይጣንም ማታለልን እንጂ ተስፋ ቃልን አይገባላቸውም ፡ ፡
