he had no faction to help him besides god , and he was helpless .
ለእርሱም ከአላህ ሌላ የሚረዱት ጭፍሮች አልነበሩትም ፡ ፡ ተረጂም አልነበረም ፡ ፡

of those who divided their religion , and became sects ; each faction pleased with what they have .
ከእነዚያ ሃይማኖታቸውን ከለያዩትና ክፍልፍሎችም ከሆኑት ( አትሁኑ ) ፡ ፡ ሕዝብ ሁሉ እነሱ ዘንድ ባለው ነገር ተደሳቾች ናቸው ፡ ፡

but the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction , in what it has , rejoicing .
( ከዚያ ተከታዮቻቸው ) የሃይማኖት ነገራቸውንም በመካከላቸው ክፍልፍሎች አድርገው ቆራረጡ ፡ ፡ ሕዝብ ሁሉ እነርሱ ዘንድ ባለው ሃይማኖት ተደሳቾች ናቸው ፡ ፡

and when they appeal unto allah and his messenger to judge between them , lo ! a faction of them are averse ;
ወደ አላህና ወደ መልክተኛውም በመካከላቸው ሊፈርድ በተጠሩ ጊዜ ከእነሱ ከፊሉ ወዲያውኑ ይሸሻሉ ፡ ፡

[ or ] of those who have divided their religion and become sects , every faction rejoicing in what it has .
ከእነዚያ ሃይማኖታቸውን ከለያዩትና ክፍልፍሎችም ከሆኑት ( አትሁኑ ) ፡ ፡ ሕዝብ ሁሉ እነሱ ዘንድ ባለው ነገር ተደሳቾች ናቸው ፡ ፡

lo ! the devil is an enemy for you , so treat him as an enemy . he only summoneth his faction to be owners of the flaming fire .
ሰይጣን ለናንተ ጠላት ነው ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ ጠላት አድርጋችሁ ያዙት ፡ ፡ ተከታዮቹን የሚጠራው ከእሳት ጓዶች እንዲኾኑ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡

and they say : we believe in allah and the messenger , and we obey ; then after that a faction of them turn away . such are not believers .
በአላህና በመልክተኛውም አምነናል ታዘናልም ይላሉ ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ከዚህ በኋላ ከእነሱ ከፊሉ ይሸሻል ፡ ፡ እነዚያም ምእምናን አይደሉም ፤

a faction of the people of the scripture wish they could mislead you . but they do not mislead except themselves , and they perceive [ it ] not .
ከመጽሐፉ ባለቤቶች የኾኑ ጭፍሮች ነፍሶቻቸውን እንጂ የማያሳስቱ ሲኾኑ ሊያሳስቱዋችሁ ተመኙ ግን አያውቁም ፡ ፡

were it not for god s grace ’ towards you , and his mercy , a faction of them would have managed to mislead you . but they only mislead themselves , and they cannot harm you in any way .
የአላህም ችሮታና እዝነቱ ባንተ ላይ ባልነበረ ኖሮ ከእነሱ የኾኑ ጭፍሮች ሊያሳስቱህ ባሰቡ ነበር ፡ ፡ ነፍሶቻቸውንም እንጅ ሌላን አያሳስቱም ፡ ፡ በምንም አይጐዱህም ፡ ፡ አላህም በአንተ ላይ መጽሐፍንና ጥበብን አወረደ ፡ ፡ የማታውቀውንም ሁሉ አስተማረህ ፡ ፡ የአላህም ችሮታ በአንተ ላይ ታላቅ ነው ፡ ፡

o ye who believe ! if ye listen to a faction among the people of the book , they would ( indeed ) render you apostates after ye have believed !
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ከነዚያ መጽሐፉን ከተሰጡት ሰዎች ከፊሉን ብትታዘዙ ከእምነታችሁ በኋላ ከሓዲዎች አድርገው ይመልሱዋችኋል ፡ ፡

[ they are but ] a host routed out there of the factions .
እዚያ ዘንድ ከአሕዛብ የሆኑ ተሸናፊ ሰራዊት ናቸው ፡ ፡
