በሰሙድም በእነዚያ በሸለቆው ቋጥኝን የቆረጡ በኾኑት ፡ ፡

then i seized the disbelievers ; so how did denial my rejection turn out ?
ከዚያም እነዚያን የካዱትን ያዝኳቸው ፡ ፡ ቅጣቴም እንዴት ነበር ! ( በስፍራው ነው ) ፡ ፡

እነዚያም ከእነርሱ በፊት የነበሩት በእርግጥ አስተባበሉ ፡ ፡ ጥላቻዬም እንዴት ነበር !

በዝሆኑ ባለቤቶች ጌታህ እንዴት እንደሠራ አላወቅህምን ?

ጌታህም ከተሞችን በዋናዋ ( ከተማ ) ውስጥ አንቀጾቻችንን በእነሱ ላይ የሚያነብ መልክተኛን እስከሚልክ ድረስ አጥፊ አልነበረም ፡ ፡ ከተሞችንም ባለቤቶቿ በዳዮች ሆነው እንጅ አጥፊዎች አልነበርንም ፡ ፡

የአዕራፍም ሰዎች በምልክታቸው የሚያውቁዋቸውን ( ታላላቅ ) ሰዎች ይጣራሉ ፡ ፡ « ስብስባችሁና በብዛታችሁ የምትኮሩ መኾናችሁም ከእናንተ ምንም አልጠቀማችሁ » ይሏቸዋል ፡ ፡

and the men on the heights will call to some men whom they recognise by their foreheads , and say , “ what benefit did your derive from your populace and from what you prided in ? ”
የአዕራፍም ሰዎች በምልክታቸው የሚያውቁዋቸውን ( ታላላቅ ) ሰዎች ይጣራሉ ፡ ፡ « ስብስባችሁና በብዛታችሁ የምትኮሩ መኾናችሁም ከእናንተ ምንም አልጠቀማችሁ » ይሏቸዋል ፡ ፡

" and you did your deed , which you did ( i.e. the crime of killing a man ) . and you are one of the ingrates . "
« ያችንም የሠራሃትን ሥራህን አልሠራህምን አንተም ከውለታ ቢሶቹ ነህ » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡
