therefore , when there comes the great , overwhelming ( event ) , -
ታላቂቱም መዐት በመጣች ጊዜ ፣

have you heard the story of the overwhelming event ( the day of judgment ) ?
የሸፋኝቱ ( ትንሣኤ ) ወሬ መጣህን ?

nay , their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do .
በእውነቱ ( ከሓዲዎች ) ልቦቻቸው ከዚያ ( መጽሐፍ ) በዝንጋቴ ውስጥ ናቸው ፡ ፡ ለእነሱም ከዚህ ሌላ እነሱ ለርሷ ሠሪዎችዋ የኾኑ ( መጥፎ ) ሥራዎች አሏቸው ፡ ፡

has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming ( i.e. the day of resurrection ) ;

do they feel safe from god 's overwhelming torment or of the sudden approach of the day of judgment while they are unaware ?
ከአላህ ቅጣት ሸፋኝ አደጋ የምትመጣባቸው ወይም ሰዓቲቱ እነሱ የማያውቁ ሲኾኑ በድንገት የምትመጣባቸው መኾኑዋን አይፈሩምን

do they , then , feel secure that an overwhelming chastisement shall not visit them , and the hour shall not suddenly come upon them without their even perceiving it ?
ከአላህ ቅጣት ሸፋኝ አደጋ የምትመጣባቸው ወይም ሰዓቲቱ እነሱ የማያውቁ ሲኾኑ በድንገት የምትመጣባቸው መኾኑዋን አይፈሩምን

are they secure then against this , that there may come upon them an overwhelming of allah 's torment , or that there may come upon them the hour on a sudden while they percieve not ?
ከአላህ ቅጣት ሸፋኝ አደጋ የምትመጣባቸው ወይም ሰዓቲቱ እነሱ የማያውቁ ሲኾኑ በድንገት የምትመጣባቸው መኾኑዋን አይፈሩምን

and who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about allah or says , " it has been inspired to me , " while nothing has been inspired to him , and one who says , " i will reveal [ something ] like what allah revealed . " and if you could but see when the wrongdoers are in the overwhelming pangs of death while the angels extend their hands , [ saying ] , " discharge your souls !
በአላህም ላይ እብለትን ከቀጣጠፈ ወይም ወደርሱ ምንም ያልተወረደለት ሲኾን « ወደኔ ተወረደልኝ » ካለና ፡ - « አላህም ያወረደውን ብጤ በእርግጥ አወርዳለሁ » ካለ ሰው ይበልጥ በዳይ ማን ነው በደለኞችንም በሞት መከራዎች ውስጥ በኾኑ ጊዜ መላእክት እጆቻቸውን ዘርጊዎች ኾነው « ( ለቅጥጥብ ) ነፍሶቻችሁን አውጡ ፤ በአላህ ላይ እውነት ያልኾነን ነገር ትናገሩ በነበራችሁትና ከአንቀጾቹም ትኮሩ በነበራችሁት ምክንያት ዛሬ የውርደትን ቅጣት ትመነዳላችሁ » ( የሚሏቸው ሲኾኑ ) ብታይ ኖሮ ( አስደናቂን ነገር ባየህ ነበር ) ፡ ፡
