እነርሱ በርሷ ( አፋፍ ) ላይ ተቀማጮች በኾኑ ጊዜ ፤ ( ተረገሙ ) ፡ ፡

sitting face to face upon couches ,
ፊት ለፊት የሚታያዩ ሲሆኑ በአልጋዎች ላይ ( ይንፈላሰሳሉ ) ፡ ፡

and sown fields , fine sitting places ,
ከአዝመራዎችም ከመልካም መቀመጫም ፡ ፡

( sitting ) on couches , face to face ,
ፊት ለፊት የሚታያዩ ሲሆኑ በአልጋዎች ላይ ( ይንፈላሰሳሉ ) ፡ ፡

let me alone with him whom i created lonely .
አንድ ኾኖ ከፈጠርኩት ሰው ጋር ተዎኝ ( እኔ እበቃሃለሁ ) ፡ ፡

dressed in fine silk and brocade , sitting face to face .
ፊት ለፊት የተቅጣጩ ኾነው ከስስ ሐርና ከወፍራም ሐር ይለብሳሉ ፡ ፡

leave me ( to deal ) with him whom i created lonely ,
አንድ ኾኖ ከፈጠርኩት ሰው ጋር ተዎኝ ( እኔ እበቃሃለሁ ) ፡ ፡

ከጻፎችም አንዳንዶቹ በዚያ ተቀምጠው ነበር በልባቸውም። ይህ ሰው ስለ ምን እንደዚህ ያለ ስድብ ይናገራል?

« ባልጋዎችም ላይ ፊት ለፊት የሚቅጣጩ ወንድማማቾች ኾነው በደረቶቻቸው ውስጥ ከቂም ያለውን ሁሉ እናስወግዳለን ፡ ፡

ከቀኝና ከግራ ክፍልፍል ጭፍሮች ሲኾኑ ፡ ፡
