and they say : we have more wealth and children , and we shall not be punished .
« እኛም በገንዘቦችና በልጆች ይበልጥ የበዛን ነን ፡ ፡ እኛም የምንቀጣ አይደለንም » አሉ ፡ ፡

nay , we have been robbed ! '
« በእርግጥም እኛ ( ከመጠቀም ) የተከለከልን ነን » ( ትሉ ነበር ) ፡ ፡

nay ; we have been undone ! ”
« በእርግጥም እኛ ( ከመጠቀም ) የተከለከልን ነን » ( ትሉ ነበር ) ፡ ፡

and they say , “ we have more wealth and more children , and we will not be punished . ”
« እኛም በገንዘቦችና በልጆች ይበልጥ የበዛን ነን ፡ ፡ እኛም የምንቀጣ አይደለንም » አሉ ፡ ፡

and we have exalted your remembrance for you .
መወሳትህንም ላንተ ከፍ አድርገንልሃል ፡ ፡

do we have to go through this again?
አሁንም ደግመን ልናልፍበት ይገባናል?

but all things we have enumerated in writing .
ነገሩንም ሁሉ የተጻፈ ሲኾን አጠቃለልነው ፡ ፡

after we have become bones and dust ? "
« የበሰበሱ አጥንቶች በኾን ጊዜ ( እንቀሰቀሳለን ? ) »

and they said : ' we have been given an abundance of wealth and children we shall never be punished '
« እኛም በገንዘቦችና በልጆች ይበልጥ የበዛን ነን ፡ ፡ እኛም የምንቀጣ አይደለንም » አሉ ፡ ፡

do they imagine that the wealth and children we have provided
ከገንዘብና ከልጆች በእርሱ የምንጨምርላቸውን ያስባሉን

( and say : ) " we have fallen into debt ;
« እኛ በዕዳ ተያዦች ነን ፡ ፡

( muhammad ) , we have granted you abundant virtue .
እኛ በጣም ብዙ በጎ ነገሮችን ሰጠንህ ፡ ፡

for ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the lord: walk as children of light:
ቀድሞ ጨለማ ነበራችሁና፥ አሁን ግን በጌታ ብርሃን ናችሁ፤

surely , we have been deprived ( of the benefits ) " .
« በእርግጥም እኛ ( ከመጠቀም ) የተከለከልን ነን » ( ትሉ ነበር ) ፡ ፡
