"كل من يتسبب في ألم لغرض أن ينتزع من المتألم أو من أي شخص يهمّه أمر المتألّم، أي اعتراف أو أي معلومات قد تؤدي إلى الكشف عن أية جريمة أو أي سوء سلوك، أو لغرض إرغام المتألّم أو أي شخص يهمه أمر المتألم، علـى إعــادة أو تسبيـب إعادة أية ممتلكات أو سندات ضمان قيﱢمة، أو تلبية أي إدعاء أو مطالبة، أو ﻹعطاء معلومات قد تؤدي إلى إعادة أية ممتلكات أو سندات ضمان قيﱢمة، سيتعرض، باﻻضافة إلى عقوبة القصاص أو العرش (arsh) أو الضمان (daman)، حسب الحالة، كما هو منصوص عليها عن نوع اﻷلم المسبﱠب، إلى عقوبة حسب طبيعة اﻷذى المسبﱠب، بالسجن المنصوص عليه في أي منهما لمدة قد تطول إلى عشر سنوات بمثابة تعذير (ta'zir) ".
