"and turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. verily, allah likes not each arrogant boaster.
"(பெருமையோடு) உன் முகத்தை மனிதர்களை விட்டும் திருப்பிக் கொள்ளாதே! பூமியில் பெருமையாகவும் நடக்காதே! அகப்பெருமைக்காரர், ஆணவங் கொண்டோர் எவரையும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நேசிக்க மாட்டான்.

and wherever you come from, turn your face towards the sacred mosque; and indeed it is the truth from your lord; and allah is not unaware of your deeds.
ஆகவே (நபியே!) நீர் எங்கிருந்து புறப்பட்டாலும் (தொழுகையின் போது) உம் முகத்தைப் புனிதப் பள்ளிவாயிலின் பக்கமே திருப்பிக்கொள்வீராக. நிச்சயமாக இதுதான் உம் இறைவனிடமிருந்து வந்த உண்மை-அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவை பற்றிப் பராமுகமாக இல்லை.

and do not turn your face away from people in contempt, nor go about in the land exulting overmuch; surely allah does not love any self-conceited boaster;
"(பெருமையோடு) உன் முகத்தை மனிதர்களை விட்டும் திருப்பிக் கொள்ளாதே! பூமியில் பெருமையாகவும் நடக்காதே! அகப்பெருமைக்காரர், ஆணவங் கொண்டோர் எவரையும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நேசிக்க மாட்டான்.

[prophet], set your face to the right religion, before that day comes from god which cannot be averted. on that day, mankind will be parted in two.
ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து எவரும் தடுத்து நிறுத்த முடியாத (அந்தத் தீர்ப்பு) நாள் வருவதற்கு முன், நீர் உம் முகத்தை நிலையான மார்க்கத்தில் சரிபடுத்துவீராக அந்நாளில் அவர்கள் (நல்லோர், தீயோர் எனப்) பிரிந்து விடுவார்கள்.

"and (it is inspired to me): direct your face (o muhammad saw) entirely towards the religion hanifa (islamic monotheism, i.e. to worship none but allah alone), and never be one of the mushrikun (those who ascribe partners to allah, polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers in the oneness of allah, and those who worship others along with allah).
