क्या तूने नहीं देखा कि ख़ुदा ही ने सारे आसमान व ज़मीन ज़रुर मसलहत से पैदा किए अगर वह चाहे तो सबको मिटाकर एक नई खिलक़त ला बसाए

if he please , he can make you pass away , o people ! and bring others ; and allah has the power to do this .
ऐ लोगों अगर ख़ुदा चाहे तो तुमको बिल्कुल उठा ले और दूसरों को ला और ख़ुदा तो इसपर क़ादिर व तवाना है

if god afflicts you with harm , none can remove it except he . and if he wants good for you , none can repel his grace . he makes it reach whomever he wills of his servants . he is the forgiver , the merciful .
और अगर ख़ुदा की तरफ से तुम्हें कोई बुराई छू भी गई तो फिर उसके सिवा कोई उसका दफा करने वाला नहीं होगा और अगर तुम्हारे साथ भलाई का इरादा करे तो फिर उसके फज़ल व करम का लपेटने वाला भी कोई नहीं वह अपने बन्दों में से जिसको चाहे फायदा पहुँचाएँ और वह बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है

say , ‘it is allah who gives you life , then he makes you die . then he will gather you on the day of resurrection , in which there is no doubt . but most people do not know . ’
तुम कह दो कि ख़ुदा ही तुमको ज़िन्दा करता है और वही तुमको मारता है फिर वही तुमको क़यामत के दिन जिस में किसी तरह का शक़ नहीं जमा करेगा मगर अक्सर लोग नहीं जानते

it is allah who created you and then he provided for you , then he makes you die , then he will bring you to life . is there anyone among your ‘partners’ who does anything of that kind ? immaculate is he and exalted above any partners that they ascribe !
ख़ुदा वह जिसने तुमको पैदा किया फिर उसी ने रोज़ी दी फिर वही तुमको मार डालेगा फिर वही तुमको ज़िन्दा करेगा भला तुम्हारे शरीकों में से कोई भी ऐसा है जो इन कामों में से कुछ भी कर सके जिसे ये लोग शरीक बनाते हैं

and whomsoever allah wills to guide , he opens his breast to islam , and whomsoever he wills to send astray , he makes his breast closed and constricted , as if he is climbing up to the sky . thus allah puts the wrath on those who believe not .
अतः जिसे अल्लाह सीधे मार्ग पर लाना चाहता है , उसका सीना इस्लाम के लिए खोल देता है । और जिसे गुमराही में पड़ा रहने देता चाहता है , उसके सीने को तंग और भिंचा हुआ कर देता है ; मानो वह आकाश में चढ़ रहा है । इस तरह अल्लाह उन लोगों पर गन्दगी डाल देता है , जो ईमान नहीं लाते

whomsoever god desires to guide , he expands his breast to islam ; whomsoever he desires to lead astray , he makes his breast narrow , tight , as if he were climbing to heaven . so god lays abomination upon those who believe not .
अतः जिसे अल्लाह सीधे मार्ग पर लाना चाहता है , उसका सीना इस्लाम के लिए खोल देता है । और जिसे गुमराही में पड़ा रहने देता चाहता है , उसके सीने को तंग और भिंचा हुआ कर देता है ; मानो वह आकाश में चढ़ रहा है । इस तरह अल्लाह उन लोगों पर गन्दगी डाल देता है , जो ईमान नहीं लाते

and whomever allah wills to guide , he opens his bosom for islam ; and whomever he wills to send astray , he makes his bosom narrow and firmly bound as if he were being forced by someone to climb the skies ; this is how allah places the punishment on those who do not believe .
तो ख़ुदा जिस शख़्श को राह रास्त दिखाना चाहता है उसके सीने को इस्लाम के वास्ते कुशादा कर देता है और जिसको गुमराही की हालत में छोड़ना चाहता है उनके सीने को तंग दुश्वार ग़ुबार कर देता है गोया उसके लिए आसमान पर चढ़ना है जो लोग ईमान नहीं लाते ख़ुदा उन पर बुराई को उसी तरह मुसल्लत कर देता है
