माना की मैंने पिछले वर्ष एक ढाबा खोला _bar_ और मैं अब जानना चाहता हूँ की मुझे इस ढाबे से कितना लाभ हो रहा है _bar_ हम इसके बारे में दो तरह से सोचेंगे _bar_ हम इसके बारे में (लेखा )accounting लाभ के सन्दर्भ में जो कि हम लोग ज्यादातर किसी व्यापार या उद्यम से सम्बंधित मानते हैं , और आर्थिक लाभ के सन्दर्भ में , दोनों तरह से सोचेंगे _bar_ हम देखेंगे की ये दोनों में क्या अंतर है _bar_ वास्तव में यह(आर्थिक लाभ) हमें यह बताता है कि क्या किसी उद्यम को इस तरह चलाने में कोई आर्थिक समझदारी है ,न कि सिर्फ ये कि इससे कुछ आमदनी हो रही है _bar_ तो सबसे पहले लाभ का आकलन करने के परंपरागत तरीके को देखते हैं _bar_ माना की मेरा उद्यम , जो की एक ढाबा है , १ साल में ५ लाख डॉलर की आय करता है _bar_ तो आय वस्तुतः वह धन है जो ग्राहक मुझे देते हैं , ढाबे में देते हैं...... खाना खाने के लिए ... यानि कि वो धन जो मेरे पास आता है _bar_ कभी-कभी इसे उच्चतम पंक्ति(top-line) भी कहते हैं क्युकी ये हमारे आय विवरण में सबसे ऊपर होती है _bar_ तो में इसे सबसे ऊपर लिख देता हूँ _bar_ अब हम अपने व्यय के विषय में सोचते हैं _bar_ जब हम एक ढाबा चलते हैं तो , सीधी सी बात है की खाने पर खर्चा आएगा , अतः खाना के विषय में , हमने माना कि हमारे १ लाख डॉलर खर्च हुए और फिर श्रम का खर्चा भी है _bar_ तो मेरे पास छोटू है, उस्ताद कारीगर है , और भी बहुत लोग हैं _bar_
