not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the lord; for that ye did desire. and they were driven out from pharaoh's presence.
ထိုသို့ မဖြစ်ရာ။ အရင်တောင်းလျှောက်သည်အတိုင်း၊ ယောက်ျားဖြစ်သောသူတို့သာသွား၍ ထာဝရဘုရားအား ဝတ်ပြုကြသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူသဖြင့်၊ သူတို့ကို အထံတော်မှ နှင်ကြလေ၏။

ထာဝရဘုရားသည်လည်း၊ ဤပြည်၌ နေသော သူ အာမောရိလူအပေါင်းတို့ကို ငါတို့ရှေ့မှ နှင်ထုတ်တော် မူပြီ။ ထာဝရဘုရားအား ဝတ်ပြုပါမည်။ ထိုဘုရားသည် ငါတို့ဘုရားသခင် ဖြစ်တော်မူသည်ဟု ပြန်ပြောကြ၏။

and joshua said unto the people, ye cannot serve the lord: for he is an holy god; he is a jealous god; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.
ယောရှုကလည်း၊ သင်တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား အား ဝတ်မပြုနိုင်။ ထိုဘုရားသည် သန့်ရှင်းသောဘုရား၊ အပြစ်ရှိသည်ဟု ထင်လွယ်သောဘုရား ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။ သင်တို့လွန်ကျူးပြစ်မှားသော အပြစ်တို့ကို သည်းခံတော် မမူ။

and gedaliah the son of ahikam the son of shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, fear not to serve the chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of babylon, and it shall be well with you.

lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the lord our god, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
ငါတို့ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရားထံတော်မှ လွှဲရှောင်ချင်သော သဘောရှိလျက်၊ ထိုလူမျိုးတို့၏ ဘုရား များထံသို့ သွား၍ ဝတ်ပြုသောယောက်ျား၊ မိန်းမ၊ အဆွေ အမျိုးတစုံတယောက်သည် သင်တို့တွင် ပါမည်ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ ခါးစွာသောအသီး၊ ဒေါနကို သီးတတ်သော အပင်မြစ် သည် သင်တို့တွင် ပေါက်မည်ဟူ၍၎င်း၊

also jeshua, and bani, and sherebiah, jamin, akkub, shabbethai, hodijah, maaseiah, kelita, azariah, jozabad, hanan, pelaiah, and the levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.
ယောရှု၊ ဗာနိ၊ ရှေရဘိ၊ ယာမိန်၊ အက္ကုပ်၊ ရှဗ္ဗေသဲ၊ ဟောဒိယ၊ မာသေယ၊ ကေလိတ၊ အာဇရိ၊ ယောဇဗဒ်၊ ဟာနန်၊ ပေလာယအစ ရှိသော လေဝိသားတို့သည်လည်း လူများတို့အား ပညတ္တိကျမ်းစာအနက်ကို ပြန်ကြားကြ၏။ လူများတို့သည်လည်း မိမိတို့နေရာ၌ နေကြ၏။
