އެ އިންސާނާގައި ނުބައިކަމެއް ބީހިއްޖެނަމަ، ކެތްތެރިކަންކުޑަ މީހެއްގެ ގޮތުގައެވެ.

އެއުރެންނީ އެއުރެންނަށް مصيبة އެއް ޖެހިއްޖެނަމަ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން ތިމަންމެންނީ، اللَّه އަށް މިލްކުވެވޮޑިގެންވާ ބަޔެކޭ، އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން ތިމަންމެންނީ، އެކަލާނގެ حضرة އަށް އެނބުރިދާނޭ ބަޔެކޭ ބުނާ މީހުންނެވެ.

and we sent no prophet unto any township but we did afflict its folk with tribulation and adversity that haply they might grow humble.
އެރަށެއްގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް ދަތިކަމާއި، ބަލިމަޑުކަން ނުޖައްސަވާ އެއްވެސް ރަށަކަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ނަބިއްޔަކު ނުފޮނުއްވަމެވެ. އެއީ އެމީހުން މަޑުމޮޅިވުމަށެވެ.

and never did we send any prophet to a dwelling but we seized its people with hardship and adversity so that they may become humble.
އެރަށެއްގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް ދަތިކަމާއި، ބަލިމަޑުކަން ނުޖައްސަވާ އެއްވެސް ރަށަކަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ނަބިއްޔަކު ނުފޮނުއްވަމެވެ. އެއީ އެމީހުން މަޑުމޮޅިވުމަށެވެ.

and whatever you have of favor - it is from allah. then when adversity touches you, to him you cry for help.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ކިބައިގައިވާހާ نعمة އެއް ވަނީ، اللَّه ގެ حضرة ންނެވެ. ދެން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ދަތިحال ޖެހިއްޖެނަމަ، ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން دعاء ކޮށް ދަންނަވަނީ، ހަމަ އެކަލާނގެ حضرة އަށެވެ.

we have sent already unto peoples that were before thee, and we visited them with tribulation and adversity, in order that they might grow humble.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރީގެ أمّة ތަކަށްވެސް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ رسول ން ފޮނުއްވީމެވެ. ދެން (އެއުރެން كافر ވީހިނދު) ތަދުމަޑުކަމާއި ބަލިމަޑުކަން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް ޖެއްސެވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެން ކިޔަމަންވެ މަޑުމޮޅިވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and assuredly we sent apostles unto communities before thee; then we laid hold of them with adversity and distress, that haply they may humble themselves.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރީގެ أمّة ތަކަށްވެސް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ رسول ން ފޮނުއްވީމެވެ. ދެން (އެއުރެން كافر ވީހިނދު) ތަދުމަޑުކަމާއި ބަލިމަޑުކަން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް ޖެއްސެވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެން ކިޔަމަންވެ މަޑުމޮޅިވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

when we provide comfort for the human being, he withdraws and distances himself; but when adversity befalls him, he starts lengthy prayers.
އަދި އިންސާނާއަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ نعمة ދެއްވައިފިނަމަ، އަނެއްފަރާތަށް އެނބުރި ބޮޑާވެގަނެތެވެ. އަދި އޭނާއަށް، ނުބައިކަމެއް ޖެހިއްޖެނަމަ، ފަހެ، دعاء ކުރުން ގިނަމީހަކަށް އޭނާ ވެދެތެވެ.

and if allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except him. and if he touches you with good - then he is over all things competent.
އަދި اللَّه، ތިބާޔަށް ގެއްލުމެއް މެދުވެރިކުރައްވާނަމަ، އެކަލާނގެ މެނުވީ އެކަން ފިއްލަވާނެ އެހެންފަރާތެއް ނުވެއެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ ތިބާޔަށް ހެޔޮގޮތެއް މެދުވެރިކުރައްވާނަމަ، (އެކަން ދުރުކުރާނޭ އެހެންފަރާތެއް ނުވެއެވެ.) ފަހެ، އެކަލާނގެއީ ކޮންމެކަމެއްގެ މައްޗަށް ކުޅަދުންވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

and if, after adversity, we let him taste good fortune he says, "all my ills are gone." he becomes exultant and boastful.
އަދި، އެ އިންސާނާއަށް ޖެހުނު مصيبة އަކަށްފަހު، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އޭނާއަށް نعمة ދެއްވައިފިނަމަ، އޭނާ ބުނާނެކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ. ތިމަންގެ ކިބައިން ހުރިހާ مصيبة އެއް ފިލައި ހިނގައްޖެއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އޭނާ ވަނީ (އެ ލިބުނު ކަންތަކަށް) އުފާވެ فخر ވެރިވެފައެވެ.

and job, when he cried unto his lord, (saying): lo! adversity afflicteth me, and thou art most merciful of all who show mercy.
އަދި أيوب ގެފާނު، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް دعاء ކުރެއްވި ހިނދު، ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، މިއަޅާޔަށް ދަތިކަމާއި، އުނދަގޫ ޖެހިއްޖެއެވެ. އަދި އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެއީ، رحمة ލައްވާ، އެންމެ رحمة ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

and if after adversity had come upon him, we let him taste prosperity, he says: 'evil has left me' see, he is jubilant and boastful,
އަދި، އެ އިންސާނާއަށް ޖެހުނު مصيبة އަކަށްފަހު، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އޭނާއަށް نعمة ދެއްވައިފިނަމަ، އޭނާ ބުނާނެކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ. ތިމަންގެ ކިބައިން ހުރިހާ مصيبة އެއް ފިލައި ހިނގައްޖެއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އޭނާ ވަނީ (އެ ލިބުނު ކަންތަކަށް) އުފާވެ فخر ވެރިވެފައެވެ.

and if allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except him; and if he intends for you good, then there is no repeller of his bounty. he causes it to reach whom he wills of his servants.
އަދި اللَّه ތިބާއަށް ގެއްލުމެއް މެދުވެރިކުރައްވާނަމަ، އެކަލާނގެ މެނުވީ، އެކަން ފިއްލަވާނޭ އެހެންފަރާތެއް ނުވެއެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ހެޔޮކަމަކަށް އިރާދަކުރައްވައިފިނަމަ، އެކަލާނގެ فضل ވަންތަކަން އަނބުރާ ރައްދުކުރެވޭނެ ފަރާތެއް ނުވެތެވެ. އެ فضل ވަންތަކަން އެކަލާނގެ ދެއްވަނީ، އެކަލާނގެ އަޅުންގެ ތެރެއިން، އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރެއްވި މީހަކަށެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެއީ، ގިނަގިނައިން ފާފަފުއްސަވާ رحيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

"shall i take (other) gods besides him? if (allah) most gracious should intend some adversity for me, of no use whatever will be their intercession for me, nor can they deliver me.
އެކަލާނގެ ފިޔަވައި އެހެން إله ންތަކެއް ތިމަން ހިފަންވީ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ رحمن ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެ، ތިމަންނާއަށް ގެއްލުމަކަށް އިރާދަކުރައްވާނަމަ، އެތަކެތީގެ شفاعة ތެރިކަމުން ތިމަންނާއަށް އެއްވެސްކަމެއް ފުއްދައެއް ނުދެވޭނެތެވެ. އަދި އެތަކެއްޗަށް ތިމަން ސަލާމަތެއްވެސް ނުމެކުރެވޭނޭމެއެވެ.
