certainly we know the predecessors among you and certainly we know the successors,
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ކުރީގެ (جيل ތަކުގެ) މީހުން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވަމެވެ. އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ފަހުން އަންނާނޭ މީހުންވެސް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވަމެވެ.

now we have appointed you as their successors in the earth to see how you act.
ދެން އެއުރެންގެ ފަހުން ބިމުގައި خليفة އިން ކަމުގައި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ލެއްވީމެވެ. އެއީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކަންތައްކުރަނީ ކޮންފަދައަކުންތޯ ބެއްލެވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

had it been our will we would have made angels among you as successors in the earth.
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާނަމަ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ބަދަލުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ފަހަށް، ބިމުގައި ملائكة ން ލައްވައިފީމުހެވެ.

and if we please, we could make among you angels to be successors in the land.
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާނަމަ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ބަދަލުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ފަހަށް، ބިމުގައި ملائكة ން ލައްވައިފީމުހެވެ.

had we willed, we would have appointed angels among you to be successors in the earth.
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާނަމަ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ބަދަލުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ފަހަށް، ބިމުގައި ملائكة ން ލައްވައިފީމުހެވެ.

after them we made you their successors in the earth, so that we might see how you would do.
ދެން އެއުރެންގެ ފަހުން ބިމުގައި خليفة އިން ކަމުގައި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ލެއްވީމެވެ. އެއީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކަންތައްކުރަނީ ކޮންފަދައަކުންތޯ ބެއްލެވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

then we made you their successors in the land, so that we might observe how you would conduct yourselves.
ދެން އެއުރެންގެ ފަހުން ބިމުގައި خليفة އިން ކަމުގައި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ލެއްވީމެވެ. އެއީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކަންތައްކުރަނީ ކޮންފަދައަކުންތޯ ބެއްލެވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and indeed, i fear the successors after me, and my wife has been barren, so give me from yourself an heir
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އަޅުގެފަހަށް، އަޅުގެ ތިމާގެމީހުން (دين ގެ ކަންތައް ބެލެހެއްޓުމުގައި) ކަންތައް ކުރާނޭގޮތާމެދު އަޅު ބިރުގަނެއެވެ. އަޅުގެ އަނބިމީހާއަކީ، ދަރިމައިނުވާ އަންހެނެކެވެ. ފަހެ، އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ رحمة ފުޅުން މިއަޅާއަށް وارث އަކު ދެއްވައިފާނދޭވެ!

but there came after them successors who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil -
ފަހެ، އެބޭކަލުންނަށްފަހު، އެހެންބަޔަކު އައޫއެވެ. އެއުރެން ނަމާދު ދޫކޮށްލޫއެވެ. އަދި هوى نفس ގެ އެދުންތަކަށް تبع ވޫއެވެ. ފަހެ، ނިކަންހުރެ އެއުރެން ހަލާކާ ކުރިމަތިލާހުށްޓެވެ!

and after them came the unworthy successors who squandered prayer and pursued their own desires, so they will soon encounter the forest of gai in hell.
ފަހެ، އެބޭކަލުންނަށްފަހު، އެހެންބަޔަކު އައޫއެވެ. އެއުރެން ނަމާދު ދޫކޮށްލޫއެވެ. އަދި هوى نفس ގެ އެދުންތަކަށް تبع ވޫއެވެ. ފަހެ، ނިކަންހުރެ އެއުރެން ހަލާކާ ކުރިމަތިލާހުށްޓެވެ!

my lord will make another people your successors and you cannot harm him in the least. for my lord is guardian over all things."
ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެނބުރި، ފުރަގަސްދޭނަމަ (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ގާތަށް، އެކަމަކާއިގެން ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު ފޮނުއްވެވި ކަންތައް، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު އިއްވަވައިފީމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ބަދަލުގައި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނޫންބަޔަކު ގެންނަވާނެތެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަކަށް، އެއްވެސް ކަމަކުން އެކަލާނގެއަކަށް ގެއްލުމެއް ނުދެވޭހުށްޓެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއީ، ކޮންމެ އެއްޗެއް ރައްކާތެރިކުރައްވައި، ބަލަހައްޓަވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

believe in god and his messenger, and expend of that unto which he has made you successors. and those of you who believe and expend shall have a mighty wage.
اللَّه އާއި، އެކަލާނގެ رسول އާއަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން إيمان ވާށެވެ! އަދި އެތަކެއްޗާމެދު، އެކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން خليفة ވެރިންކަމުގައި ލެއްވި ތަކެތިން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހޭދަކުރާށެވެ! ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން إيمان ވެ، އަދި ހޭދަކުރިމީހުން ދަންނާށެވެ! އެއުރެންނަށް ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ދަރުމަހުށްޓެވެ.

remember when he made you successors to the 'ad and settled you in the land. you built palaces on its plains and carved houses out of the mountains.
އަދި عاد ބާގައިމީހުންގެ ފަހުން، خليفة އިން ކަމުގައި އެކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ލެއްވިކަމާއި، ބިމުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ވަޒަންވެރި ކުރެއްވިކަން ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! އެތާނގެ ހަމަބިންތަކުން ގަނޑުވަރުތައް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަދަމުއެވެ. އަދި ފަރުބަދަތައް ކަނޑައިގެން، ގެތައްވެސް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަދަމުއެވެ. ފަހެ، اللَّه ގެ نعمة ތައް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! އަދި فاسد ން ކަމުގައިވެތިބެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބިމުގައި فساد ނުކުރާހުށިކަމެވެ!

and will then cause you to settle in the land as their successors. that is the reward for him who fears to stand for reckoning and holds my threat in awe."
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެންގެ ފަހުގައި، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، ބިމުގައި ވަޒަންވެރި ކުރައްވާ ހުށީމެވެ. އެކަންއޮތީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ (މަތިވެރި) مقام އަށް ބިރުވެތިވެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ وعيد އަށް ބިރުވެތިވި މީހުންނަށެވެ.

and they denied him, so we saved him and those with him in the ship and made them successors, and we drowned those who denied our signs. then see how was the end of those who were warned.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އެކަލޭގެފާނު ދޮގުކުރޫއެވެ. ދެން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަލޭގެފާނާއި، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުގައި ނާކޮޅުގައިވާ އެންމެން ސަލާމަތް ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި އޭގެފަހުން (ބިމުގައި) އުޅޭނެ ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި އެއުރެން ލެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތައް ދޮގުކުރިމީހުން غرق ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. ފަހެ، إنذار ވެވުނު މީހުންގެ ނިމުންހުރީ، ކޮންފަދައަކުންކަން ކަލޭގެފާނު ދެކެވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ!

but they denounced him, so we saved him and those with him in the ark, and we made them successors, and we drowned those who rejected our signs. so consider the fate of those who were warned.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އެކަލޭގެފާނު ދޮގުކުރޫއެވެ. ދެން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަލޭގެފާނާއި، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުގައި ނާކޮޅުގައިވާ އެންމެން ސަލާމަތް ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި އޭގެފަހުން (ބިމުގައި) އުޅޭނެ ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި އެއުރެން ލެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތައް ދޮގުކުރިމީހުން غرق ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. ފަހެ، إنذار ވެވުނު މީހުންގެ ނިމުންހުރީ، ކޮންފަދައަކުންކަން ކަލޭގެފާނު ދެކެވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ!

do you consider it odd that there should come to you a reminder from your lord through a man from among yourselves, so that he may warn you? remember when he made you successors after the people of noah, and increased you vastly in creation.
ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް إنذار ކުރެއްވުމަށް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ފިރިހެނަކު މެދުވެރިކޮށް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ން ހަނދާން ކޮށްދިނުމެއް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް އައިކަމަށްޓަކައި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން حيران ވީހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި نوح ގެފާނުގެ قوم އަށްފަހުގައި، خليفة އިން ކަމުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ލެއްވިކަމާއި، ހެއްދެވުމުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ އިސްކޮޅާއި ބާރު އިތުރުކުރެއްވިކަން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! ފަހެ، اللَّه ގެ نعمة ތައް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ދިންނަވައި نصيب ލިބުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

is he who answers the call of the distressed [person] when he invokes him and removes his distress, and makes you successors on the earth...? what!
ނުވަތަ ދަތި އުނދަގޫ حال ޖެހިފައިވާ މީހާ، އެކަލާނގެއަށް دعاء ކުރާހިނދު، އެމީހާގެ دعاء އިޖާބަކުރައްވައި، އަދި ނުބައިކަން ދުރުކުރައްވައި، އަދި ބިމުގެ خليفة އިން ކަމުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންލައްވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ اللَّه އާއެކު އެހެން إله އަކު ވޭހެއްޔެވެ؟ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނދުމަކުރަނީ ވަރަށްވެސް މަދުންނެވެ.

"(are the idols worthier or) the one who answers the prayers of the distressed ones, removes their hardship, and makes you the successors in the land? is there any lord besides god?
ނުވަތަ ދަތި އުނދަގޫ حال ޖެހިފައިވާ މީހާ، އެކަލާނގެއަށް دعاء ކުރާހިނދު، އެމީހާގެ دعاء އިޖާބަކުރައްވައި، އަދި ނުބައިކަން ދުރުކުރައްވައި، އަދި ބިމުގެ خليفة އިން ކަމުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންލައްވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ اللَّه އާއެކު އެހެން إله އަކު ވޭހެއްޔެވެ؟ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނދުމަކުރަނީ ވަރަށްވެސް މަދުންނެވެ.
