इस अत्यन्त विक्षुब्ध जीवनेच्छा का बल तथा चंगुल इतना दृढ़ है , इसकी वासनाओं तथा भ्रान्तियों का संकट इतना महान है , इसके आक्रमण का आवेश या इसके विन्घों की कष्टकर बाधा इतनी सूक्ष्म - आग्रहशील या दृढ़ - विद्रोही है तथा द्युलोक के ठेठ द्वारों तक ऐसी अड़ी रहती है कि संत और योगी भी इसके षड्यन्त्र या इसके बलात्कार के विरुद्ध खड़े होने के लिये अपनीमुक्त पवित्रता या अपने अभ्यस्त आत्मप्रभुत्व पर भरोसा नहीं कर सकते ।
