ne des alienis honorem tuum et annos tuos crudel
lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:

provocaverunt eum in diis alienis et in abominationibus ad iracundiam concitaverun

and the chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.

eo quod praeterieritis pactum domini dei vestri quod pepigit vobiscum et servieritis diis alienis et adoraveritis eos cito atque velociter consurget in vos furor domini et auferemini de terra hac optima quam tradidit vobi
when ye have transgressed the covenant of the lord your god, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the lord be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.
