quoniam et si contristavi vos in epistula non me paenitet et si paeniteret videns quod epistula illa et si ad horam vos contristavi
for though i made you sorry with a letter, i do not repent, though i did repent: for i perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.

haec ad te pluribus verbis scripsi quam soleo, non oti abundantia sed amoris erga te, quod me quadam epistula subinvitaras, si memoria tenes, ut ad te aliquid eius modi scriberem, quominus te praetermisisse ludos paeniteret.
you only sustain and protect this infirmity of your health, as you do, so that you may go to our countryside and run to the ground with me in a litter.
