jeigu draudiminis įvykis įvyksta prieš įgyvendinimo reglamento įsigaliojimą atitinkamos valstybės narės teritorijoje, o prašymas skirti pensiją nebuvo patenkintas iki tos datos, išmoka, kuri turi būti skiriama dėl to draudiminio įvykio, skiriama dviem būdais:
where the contingency arises before the date of entry into force of the implementing regulation in the territory of the member state concerned and the claim for pension has not been awarded before that date, such claim shall give rise to a double award, in as much as benefits must be granted, pursuant to such contingency, for a period prior to that date:

laikantis 1 dalies nuostatų, pagal šį reglamentą įgyjama bet kuri teisė, netgi jeigu ji susijusi su draudiminiu įvykiu, įvykusiu iki šio reglamento įsigaliojimo.
subject to the provisions of paragraph 1, a right shall be acquired under this regulation though relating to a contingency which materialised prior to the date of entry into force of this regulation.
