hakika wale walio rudi nyuma miongoni mwenu siku yalipo pambana majeshi mawili, shet'ani ndiye aliye watelezesha kwa sababu ya baadhi ya makosa waliyo yafanya; na mwenyezi mungu amekwisha wasamehe.
all those among you who turned their backs on the day the two armies clashed (at 'uhud) were surely induced by satan to fail in their duty because of their sinful deeds.

hakika wale walio rudi nyuma miongoni mwenu siku yalipo pambana majeshi mawili, shet'ani ndiye aliye watelezesha kwa sababu ya baadhi ya makosa waliyo yafanya; na mwenyezi mungu amekwisha wasamehe. hakika mwenyezi mungu ni mwenye kusamehe, mpole.
(as for) those of you who turned back on the day when the two armies met, only the shaitan sought to cause them to make a slip on account of some deeds they had done, and certainly allah has pardoned them; surely allah is forgiving, forbearing.
