فجعل لهم رئيس الخصيان اسماء فسمى دانيال بلطشاصر وحننيا شدرخ وميشائيل ميشخ وعزريا عبد نغو
unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto daniel the name of belteshazzar; and to hananiah, of shadrach; and to mishael, of meshach; and to azariah, of abed-nego.

اجاب الملك وقال لدانيال الذي اسمه بلطشاصر هل تستطيع انت على ان تعرّفني بالحلم الذي رأيت وبتعبيره.
the king answered and said to daniel, whose name was belteshazzar, art thou able to make known unto me the dream which i have seen, and the interpretation thereof?

يا بلطشاصر كبير المجوس من حيث اني اعلم ان فيك روح الآلهة القدوسين ولا يعسر عليك سرّ فاخبرني برؤى حلمي الذي رايته وبتعبيره.
o belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because i know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that i have seen, and the interpretation thereof.

في السنة الثالثة لكورش ملك فارس كشف امر لدانيال الذي سمي باسم بلطشاصر. والامر حق والجهاد عظيم وفهم الأمر وله معرفة الرؤيا.
in the third year of cyrus king of persia a thing was revealed unto daniel, whose name was called belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

من حيث ان روحا فاضلة ومعرفة وفطنة وتعبير الاحلام وتبيين ألغاز وحلّ عقد وجدت في دانيال هذا الذي سماه الملك بلطشاصر. فليدع الآن دانيال فيبيّن التفسير
forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same daniel, whom the king named belteshazzar: now let daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.

هذا الحلم رأيته انا نبوخذناصّر الملك. اما انت يا بلطشاصر فبيّن تعبيره لان كل حكماء مملكتي لا يستطيعون ان يعرفوني بالتعبير. اما انت فتستطيع لان فيك روح الآلهة القدوسين
this dream i king nebuchadnezzar have seen. now thou, o belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.
