ኢየሱስም ተነሥቶ ከደቀ መዛሙርቱ ጋር ተከተለው።
and jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.

ከጸሎትም ተነሥቶ ወደ ደቀ መዛሙርቱ መጣና ከኀዘን የተነሣ ተኝተው ሲያገኛቸው።
and when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

ነገር ግን በሕዝብ ሁሉ ዘንድ የከበረ የሕግ መምህር ገማልያል የሚሉት አንድ ፈሪሳዊ በሸንጎ ተነሥቶ ሐዋርያትን ጥቂት ፈቀቅ እንዲያደርጉአቸው አዘዘ፥
then stood there up one in the council, a pharisee, named gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;

ከዚያም ተነሥቶ ወደ ጢሮስና ወደ ሲዶና አገር ሄደ። ወደ ቤትም ገብቶ ማንም እንዳያውቅበት ወደደ ሊሰወርም አልተቻለውም፤
and from thence he arose, and went into the borders of tyre and sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.

ሊቀ ካህናቱም በመካከላቸው ተነሥቶ። አንዳች አትመልስምን? እነዚህስ በአንተ ላይ የሚመሰክሩብህ ምንድር ነው? ብሎ ኢየሱስን ጠየቀው።
and the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked jesus, saying, answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
