surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes),
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެ ނަރަކައީ، ބޮޑެތި ބަލާތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން ބަލާއެއްކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

as for the unbelievers, they will suffer misfortunes, and their deeds will be rendered ineffective.
كافر ވިމީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަށް ހަލާކާއި، އަބާއްޖަވެރިކަންހުށްޓެވެ. އަދި، އެކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ عمل ތައް ގެއްލެނިކުރެއްވިއެވެ.

some of them righteous, and some of them short of that. and we tested them with fortunes and misfortunes, so that they may return.
އަދި ބިމުގައި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން أمّة ތަކަކަށް ބައިބައިކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން ހެޔޮލަފާ މީހުންވެއެވެ. އަދި އެނޫންމީހުންވެސް އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިންވެއެވެ. ހެޔޮގޮތްތަކާއި، ނުބައިގޮތްތައް މެދުވެރިކުރެއްވުމުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން امتحان ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެން (ހެޔޮމަގަށް) އެނބުރި އައުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

we split them up into sections on the earth. some of them are righteous while some of them are otherwise, and we tested them with blessings and misfortunes, so that they might return to the right path.
އަދި ބިމުގައި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން أمّة ތަކަކަށް ބައިބައިކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން ހެޔޮލަފާ މީހުންވެއެވެ. އަދި އެނޫންމީހުންވެސް އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިންވެއެވެ. ހެޔޮގޮތްތަކާއި، ނުބައިގޮތްތައް މެދުވެރިކުރެއްވުމުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން امتحان ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެން (ހެޔޮމަގަށް) އެނބުރި އައުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

but they would always ascribe their well-being to themselves and the misfortunes that they would experience to moses and his people. their fate is certainly in the hands of god but many of them do not know.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނާ ހަމަޔަށް ހެޔޮގޮތް އަތުވެއްޖެނަމަ، މިއީ ތިމަންމެންނަށް އޮތްކަމެކޭ އެއުރެން ބުނެތެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް ނުބައިކަމެއް ޖެހިއްޖެނަމަ، موسى ގެފާނާއި، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުގައިވާ މީހުންގެ ސުންޕާކަމުން ޖެހުނުކަމެއްކަމުގައި އެއުރެން ހަދަތެވެ. ދަންނާށެވެ! އެއުރެންނަށް ސުންޕާގޮތް މެދުވެރިވުންވަނީ، اللَّه ގެެެ حضرة ގައެވެ. އެހެނެއްކަމަކު، އެއުރެންކުރެ ގިނަމީހުންނަކަށް ނޭނގެއެވެ.

how shall it be when they suffer misfortunes for their own misdeeds? then they will come to you swearing by god and saying: "we wish for nothing but good and amity."
އަދި، އެއުރެންގެ އަތްތަކުން އިސްކުޅަ عمل ތަކެއްގެ ސަބަބުން އެއުރެންނަށް مصيبة އެއް ޖެހިއްޖިއްޔާ ކޮންފަދަތޯއެވެ؟ ދެން، އެއުރެން إحسان ތެރިވުމާއި، އެކުވެރިކުރުން މެނުވީ ތިމަންމެން قصد އެއް ނުކުރަމުއޭ ދަންނަވައި، اللَّه ގަންދީ ހުވާކުރަމުން ކަލޭގެފާނުންގެ އަރިހަށް އާދެއެވެ.

(he also did this) to chastise the hypocrites, both men and women, and those who associate others in his divinity, both men and women, and who harbour evil thoughts about allah. they shall be afflicted with misfortune, allah is wroth with them.
އަދި منافق ފިރިހެނުންނާއި، منافق އަންހެނުންނާއި، شريك ކުރާ ފިރިހެނުންނާއި، شريك ކުރާ އަންހެނުންނަށް عذاب ދެއްވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އެއުރެންނީ، اللَّه އާމެދު ނުބައި ހީތައް ކުރާމީހުންނެވެ. ނުބައިގޮތް ދިމާވުންއޮތީ އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށެވެ. އަދި اللَّه އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ކޯފާލެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް لعنة ލެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނަށްޓަކައި ނަރަކަ ތައްޔާރުކުރެއްވިއެވެ. އެއީ ނުބައިވެގެންވާ ނިމިދިޔުމެކެވެ.
