and ye are at that moment looking
އަދި އެހިނދު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބަލަބަލައި ތިބެމުއެވެ.

whereas you watch at that moment!
އަދި އެހިނދު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބަލަބަލައި ތިބެމުއެވެ.

and you at the moment are looking on,
އަދި އެހިނދު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބަލަބަލައި ތިބެމުއެވެ.

and you wait for the moment (of death),
އަދި އެހިނދު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބަލަބަލައި ތިބެމުއެވެ.

and at that moment you are looking on [at his bedside]
އަދި އެހިނދު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބަލަބަލައި ތިބެމުއެވެ.

and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] --
އަދި އެހިނދު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބަލަބަލައި ތިބެމުއެވެ.

he will say: "you stayed there only a moment, if you knew.
އެކަލާނގެ وحى ކުރައްވާނެތެވެ. ދާދި ކުޑަ ދުވަސްކޮޅަކު މެނުވީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ލަސްވެ ނުތިބެމުއެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް އެކަން އެނގޭކަމުގައި ވީނަމައެވެ.

and worship your lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come.
އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހަށް يقين ވެގެންވާ ކަންތައް (އެބަހީ: މަރު) އަތުވެއްޖައުމަށް ދާނދެން، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް އަޅުކަން ކުރައްވާށެވެ!

they say, 'why was this koran not sent down upon some man of moment in the two cities?'
އަދި އެއުރެން ބުނޫއެވެ. އެ ދެރަށުގެ (އެބަހީ: مكة އާއި، طائف ގެ) މީހުންކުރެ، މާތްމީހަކަށް މި قرآن ބާވައިނުލެއްވީ ކީއްވެގެން ހެއްޔެވެ؟

– at that moment when we are closer to him than you, although you do not see (us)
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށްވުރެ އެމީހާއާ (އެބަހީ: މަރުވާ މީހާއާ) ގާތްކަންބޮޑީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. އެހެނެއްކަމަކު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަކަށް ނުފެނެތެވެ.

every people have a certain term. when their time is come they can neither delay it an hour nor advance it a moment forward.
ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަމިއްލަ نفس އަށް ގެއްލުމެއް ދިނުމަކީވެސް، އަދި މަންފާއެއް ދިނުމަކީވެސް، ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ބާރުގެ ދަށުގައިވާ ކަމެއްނޫނެވެ. اللَّه އިރާދަކުރެއްވިކަމެއް މެނުވީއެވެ. ކޮންމެ أمّة އަކަށްވެސް أجل އެއްވެއެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ أجل އަތުވެއްޖެނަމަ، އެންމެ ساعة އެއްގެ އިރުވެސް އެއުރެންނަކަށް ލަހެއްނުކުރައްވާނެތެވެ. އަދި އަވަހެއްވެސް ނުމެކުރައްވާނޭމެއެވެ.

and every group has a promise; so when its promise comes, it cannot be postponed for a moment or brought forward.
ކޮންމެ أمّة އަކަށްމެ أجل އެއް ވެއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެ أجل އައުމުން، އެންމެ ހިނދުކޮޅަކަށްވެސް އެއުރެންނަކަށް ލަހެއްނުކުރައްވާ ހުށްޓެވެ. އަދި އަވަހެއްވެސް ނުމެކުރައްވާ ހުށްޓެވެ.

if only the unbelievers could apprehend the moment when they would neither be able to ward off the fire from their faces and their backs, nor help reach them!
كافر ވި މީހުންނަށް އެއުރެންގެ ކުރިމަތިންނާއި، އެއުރެންގެ ފުރަގަހުން، އަލިފާނުގެ عذاب ދުރުނުކުރެވޭހިނދު، އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް އެއްވެސް ފަރާތަކުން نصر ލިބުމެއް ނުވާހިނދު (އެކަން) އެނގޭނަމަ (އެއުރެން އެހެނެއް ނުބުނާނެ) ތެވެ.

a term is fixed for every people; and when their appointed time is come there will neither be a moment's delay nor haste.
ކޮންމެ أمّة އަކަށްމެ أجل އެއް ވެއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެ أجل އައުމުން، އެންމެ ހިނދުކޮޅަކަށްވެސް އެއުރެންނަކަށް ލަހެއްނުކުރައްވާ ހުށްޓެވެ. އަދި އަވަހެއްވެސް ނުމެކުރައްވާ ހުށްޓެވެ.

there is no forgiveness for those who commit sin and do not repent until the last moment of their lives nor for those who die as unbelievers. for these people we have prepared a painful torment.
އަދި، ނުބައިކަންތައް ކޮށްކޮށް ތިއްބާ އެއިންމީހެއްގެ ގާތަށް މަރު އައިސް حاضر ވެއްޖެނަމަ، އެހިނދު ތިމަން މިހާރު توبة ވެއްޖައީމޭ ބުނާ މީހުންނާއި، كافر ން ކަމުގައި ތިބެ މަރުވާ މީހުންނަކަށް توبة ލެއްވުމެއްނެތެވެ. އެއުރެންނަށްޓަކައި ވޭންދެނިވި عذاب ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ތައްޔާރުކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

so on that day the tidings will be blinded* for them, therefore they will not ask one another. (* they will forget at that moment).
ފަހެ، އެދުވަހުން (ރަނގަޅު ޖަވާބެއް ދިނުމަށް) خبر ތައް އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ފަރުދާވެގެން ހިނގައިދާހުށްޓެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެން (حيران ވެފައިވާލެއް ބޮޑުކަމުން) އެކަކު އަނެކަކާ سؤال ވެސް ކޮށްނުލާނެތެވެ.

and every nation has its appointed term; when their term is reached, neither can they delay it nor can they advance it an hour (or a moment).
ކޮންމެ أمّة އަކަށްމެ أجل އެއް ވެއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެ أجل އައުމުން، އެންމެ ހިނދުކޮޅަކަށްވެސް އެއުރެންނަކަށް ލަހެއްނުކުރައްވާ ހުށްޓެވެ. އަދި އަވަހެއްވެސް ނުމެކުރައްވާ ހުށްޓެވެ.

and on the day when he will raise all of them together, as if they had never stayed on earth except for a moment during the day, they will recognise one another; for completely ruined are those who denied the meeting with allah and were not on guidance.
އެކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން محشر އަށް ފޮނުއްވާ ދުވަހު، ދުވާލުން ساعة އެއްގެ މިންވަރަށް މެނުވީ (ދުނިޔޭގައި ނުވަތަ ކަށްވަޅުގައި) އެއުރެން ނުތިބޭކަހަލައެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ މެދުގައި تعارف ވާނެތެވެ. اللَّه އާ ބައްދަލުވާނޭކަން ދޮގުކުޅަ މީހުން، ގެއްލި ހަލާކުވެއްޖެކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނީ، ތެދުމަގު ލިބިގެންވާ ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައިވެސް ނުމެވޭމެއެވެ.

(muhammad), some of them listen to you, but when they leave you they ask those who have received knowledge, "what did he say a few moments ago?" god has sealed the hearts of such people who have followed their worldly desires.
އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން (އެބަހީ: كافر ންގެ ތެރެއިން) ބަޔަކު، ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާ ވިދާޅުވުމަށް އަހައިއުޅެތެވެ. ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުން އެއުރެން ނުކުންނަހިނދު، علم ލިބިގެންވާ މީހުންނަށް އެއުރެން ބުނެތެވެ. އެކަލޭގެފާނު ދެންމެއަކު ވިދާޅުވީ ކީކޭހެއްޔެވެ؟ އެއުރެންނީ، اللَّه އެއުރެންގެ ހިތްތަކުގައި ސިއްކަގައްސަވައި، ބަންދުކުރައްވާފައިވާ މީހުންނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނީ އެއުރެންގެ هوىنفس ގެ އެދުންތަކަށް تبع ވެގެންވާ މީހުންނެވެ.
