he decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars,
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އަލިގަދަ ތަރިތަކުގެ ޒީނަތްތެރިކަމުން އެންމެކައިރި އުޑު ޒީނަތްތެރި ކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

we have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އަލިގަދަ ތަރިތަކުގެ ޒީނަތްތެރިކަމުން އެންމެކައިރި އުޑު ޒީނަތްތެރި ކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

‘what! one who is brought up amid ornaments and is inconspicuous in contests?’
އަދި (اللَّه އަށް އެއުރެން އެ نسبة ކުރަނީ) ގަހަނާ އަޅުވައި، ބޮޑުކުރާ މީހަކު ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި އޭނާއީ، ދެކޮޅުވެރިކަމެއް ދިމާވާހިނދު حجّة ބަޔާން ނުކުރެވޭ މީހެކެވެ.

hath he taken to himself that which is reared in ornaments, and is in contention not plain?
އަދި (اللَّه އަށް އެއުރެން އެ نسبة ކުރަނީ) ގަހަނާ އަޅުވައި، ބޮޑުކުރާ މީހަކު ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި އޭނާއީ، ދެކޮޅުވެރިކަމެއް ދިމާވާހިނދު حجّة ބަޔާން ނުކުރެވޭ މީހެކެވެ.

so is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident [attributed to allah]?
އަދި (اللَّه އަށް އެއުރެން އެ نسبة ކުރަނީ) ގަހަނާ އަޅުވައި، ބޮޑުކުރާ މީހަކު ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި އޭނާއީ، ދެކޮޅުވެރިކަމެއް ދިމާވާހިނދު حجّة ބަޔާން ނުކުރެވޭ މީހެކެވެ.

(as such they attribute to allah) who is brought up among ornaments but when disputes arise are powerless.
އަދި (اللَّه އަށް އެއުރެން އެ نسبة ކުރަނީ) ގަހަނާ އަޅުވައި، ބޮޑުކުރާ މީހަކު ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި އޭނާއީ، ދެކޮޅުވެރިކަމެއް ދިމާވާހިނދު حجّة ބަޔާން ނުކުރެވޭ މީހެކެވެ.

["do you ascribe to god] one who is brought up among ornaments and who cannot produce a cogent argument?"
އަދި (اللَّه އަށް އެއުރެން އެ نسبة ކުރަނީ) ގަހަނާ އަޅުވައި، ބޮޑުކުރާ މީހަކު ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި އޭނާއީ، ދެކޮޅުވެރިކަމެއް ދިމާވާހިނދު حجّة ބަޔާން ނުކުރެވޭ މީހެކެވެ.

and ornaments of gold; yet all that would be nothing but the wares of the life of this world, and the hereafter is for the godwary near your lord.
އަދި (އެތަކެއްޗަށް) ޒީނަތްތެރިކަން ލެއްވީމުހެވެ. އެހުރިހާ ތަކެއްޗަކީ، ދުނިޔޭގެ ދިރިއުޅުމުގެ ވަގުތީ އަރާމެއްކަމުގައިނޫނީ ނުވެެތެވެ. އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ގައި تقوى ވެރިންނަށް آخرة ގެ نعمة ހުށްޓެވެ.

and (do they chose for him) one who is brought up among ornaments, and cannot express herself clearly in debate?
އަދި (اللَّه އަށް އެއުރެން އެ نسبة ކުރަނީ) ގަހަނާ އަޅުވައި، ބޮޑުކުރާ މީހަކު ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި އޭނާއީ، ދެކޮޅުވެރިކަމެއް ދިމާވާހިނދު حجّة ބަޔާން ނުކުރެވޭ މީހެކެވެ.

they replied, "we did not go against our promise with you out of our own accord. we were forced to carry people's ornaments.
އެއުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. ތިމަންމެން އަމިއްލަ اختيار އަކުން ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ކުޅަ وعد އަކާ خلاف އެއް ނުވަމުއެވެ. އެހެެނެއްކަމަކު، قوم ގެމީހުންގެ ގަހަނާތަކުން ބުރަތަކެއް ތިމަންމެންނަށް އުފުލާން ޖެހުނީއެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިމަންމެން އެ ގަހަނާތައް (އަލިފާންގަނޑަށް) އުކީމުއެވެ. ހަމައެފަދައިން السّامرىّ ވެސް އުކިއެވެ.

and he it is who has subjected the sea that you may eat fresh fish from it and bring forth ornaments from it that you can wear. and you see ships ploughing their course through it so that you may go forth seeking his bounty and be grateful to him.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށްޓަކައި، ކަނޑު خدمة ތެރިކުރެއްވީ އެކަލާނގެއެވެ. (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެ ކަނޑުން ތާޒާ މަސް ކެއުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އަޅައިއުޅޭ ގަހަނާ، އެ ކަނޑުން ނެރެ، ނެގުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި އެ ކަނޑުގައި ގޮސް އައިސްވާ އުޅަނދުތައް ތިބާ ދެކޭނޫއެވެ. އަދި (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެކަލާނގެ فضل ވަންތަކަމުން (ދެއްވުމަށް) އެދިގަތުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން شكر ކުރުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and he it is who has made the sea subservient that you may eat fresh flesh from it and bring forth from it ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships cleaving through it, and that you might seek of his bounty and that you may give thanks.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށްޓަކައި، ކަނޑު خدمة ތެރިކުރެއްވީ އެކަލާނގެއެވެ. (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެ ކަނޑުން ތާޒާ މަސް ކެއުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އަޅައިއުޅޭ ގަހަނާ، އެ ކަނޑުން ނެރެ، ނެގުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި އެ ކަނޑުގައި ގޮސް އައިސްވާ އުޅަނދުތައް ތިބާ ދެކޭނޫއެވެ. އަދި (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެކަލާނގެ فضل ވަންތަކަމުން (ދެއްވުމަށް) އެދިގަތުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން شكر ކުރުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and he it is who hath subjected the sea that ye may eat thereout flesh fresh and bring forth therefrom ornaments that ye wear. and thou beholdest ships ploughing therein, and it is in order that ye may seek of his grace, and that haply ye may give thanks.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށްޓަކައި، ކަނޑު خدمة ތެރިކުރެއްވީ އެކަލާނގެއެވެ. (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެ ކަނޑުން ތާޒާ މަސް ކެއުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އަޅައިއުޅޭ ގަހަނާ، އެ ކަނޑުން ނެރެ، ނެގުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި އެ ކަނޑުގައި ގޮސް އައިސްވާ އުޅަނދުތައް ތިބާ ދެކޭނޫއެވެ. އަދި (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެކަލާނގެ فضل ވަންތަކަމުން (ދެއްވުމަށް) އެދިގަތުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން شكر ކުރުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and it is he who made the sea to serve you, that you may eat from it tender meat, and extract from it ornaments that you wear. and you see the ships plowing through it, as you seek his bounties, so that you may give thanks.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށްޓަކައި، ކަނޑު خدمة ތެރިކުރެއްވީ އެކަލާނގެއެވެ. (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެ ކަނޑުން ތާޒާ މަސް ކެއުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އަޅައިއުޅޭ ގަހަނާ، އެ ކަނޑުން ނެރެ، ނެގުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި އެ ކަނޑުގައި ގޮސް އައިސްވާ އުޅަނދުތައް ތިބާ ދެކޭނޫއެވެ. އަދި (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެކަލާނގެ فضل ވަންތަކަމުން (ދެއްވުމަށް) އެދިގަތުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން شكر ކުރުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

'we have not failed in our tryst with thee,' they said, 'of our volition; but we were loaded with fardels, even the ornaments of the people, and we cast them, as the samaritan also threw them, into the fire.'
އެއުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. ތިމަންމެން އަމިއްލަ اختيار އަކުން ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ކުޅަ وعد އަކާ خلاف އެއް ނުވަމުއެވެ. އެހެެނެއްކަމަކު، قوم ގެމީހުންގެ ގަހަނާތަކުން ބުރަތަކެއް ތިމަންމެންނަށް އުފުލާން ޖެހުނީއެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިމަންމެން އެ ގަހަނާތައް (އަލިފާންގަނޑަށް) އުކީމުއެވެ. ހަމައެފަދައިން السّامرىّ ވެސް އުކިއެވެ.
