a messenger from god, reciting to them pure scriptures,
(އެ ދަލީލަކީ) اللَّه ގެ حضرة ން ފޮނުއްވެވި رسول އެކެވެ. طاهر ކުރައްވާފައިވާ ފަތްފުށްތަކެއް އެ رسول އާ ކިޔަވައިދެއްވަތެވެ.

and verily it is in the scriptures of the ancients.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އިސްވެދިޔަ ނަބިއްޔުންގެ ފޮތްތަކުގައިވެސް އެ قرآن ގެ ވާހަކަ ވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

just as we had revealed [scriptures] to the separators
ބައިބައިކުޅަ މީހުންގެ މައްޗަށް، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ (عذاب) ބާވައިލެއްވި ފަދައިންނެވެ.

and lo! it is in the scriptures of the men of old.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އިސްވެދިޔަ ނަބިއްޔުންގެ ފޮތްތަކުގައިވެސް އެ قرآن ގެ ވާހަކަ ވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

and most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އިސްވެދިޔަ ނަބިއްޔުންގެ ފޮތްތަކުގައިވެސް އެ قرآن ގެ ވާހަކަ ވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އިސްވެދިޔަ ނަބިއްޔުންގެ ފޮތްތަކުގައިވެސް އެ قرآن ގެ ވާހަކަ ވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of moses,
އަދި ކީއްހެއްޔެވެ؟ موسى ގެފާނުގެ ފަތްފުށްތަކުގައިވާ ތަކެތީގެ خبر އޭނާޔަށް ނުލިބެނީހެއްޔެވެ؟

it is indeed [foretold] in the scriptures of the ancients.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އިސްވެދިޔަ ނަބިއްޔުންގެ ފޮތްތަކުގައިވެސް އެ قرآن ގެ ވާހަކަ ވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

and indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އިސްވެދިޔަ ނަބިއްޔުންގެ ފޮތްތަކުގައިވެސް އެ قرآن ގެ ވާހަކަ ވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

are your unbelievers better than all those? or do you have immunity in the scriptures?
އެއުރެންނަށްވުރެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ كافر ން، ހެޔޮކަން ބޮޑީހެއްޔެެވެ؟ ނުވަތަ ބާވައިލެއްވި ފޮތްތަކުގައި عذاب ން މިންޖުވުމެއް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށްޓަކައި ވަނީހެއްޔެވެ؟

rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about.
އަދި ކިއެއްތަ! އެއުރެންކުރެ ކޮންމެ މީހަކު އެދެނީ، ލިޔުއްވާފައިވާ ފަތްފުށްތަކެއް އެމީހަކަށް ބާވައިލެއްވުމަށެވެ.

and we have given them no scriptures which they study, nor sent we unto them, before thee, any warner.
އަދި އެއުރެން ކިޔަވައިއުޅޭނެ ފޮތްތަކެއް، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަކަށް ނުދެއްވަމެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންގެގާތަށް ބިރުވެރިކަމުގެ خبر ދެއްވާ އެއްވެސް رسول އަކު ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރިޔަކުން ނުފޮނުއްވަމެވެ.

(and it was said unto his son): o john! hold fast the scripture.
އޭ يحيى ގެފާނެވެ! ކަލޭގެފާނު ފޮތުގައި ބާރަށް ހިފަހައްޓަވާށެވެ! ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް ތުއްޕުޅުއިރު حكمة ދެއްވީމެވެ.
