for what they have done
ይሠሩት ከነበሩት ነገር ሁሉ ፡ ፡

nun . by the pen and what they inscribe ,
ነ . ( ኑን ) ፤ በብርእ እምላለሁ በዚያም ( መልአኮች ) በሚጽፉት ፡ ፡

and what they earned did not avail them .
ይሠሩትም የነበሩት ሕንጻ ምንም አልጠቀማቸውም ፡ ፡

witnessing what they had done to the believers !
እነርሱም በምእምናኖቹ በሚሠሩት ( ማሰቃየት ) ላይ መስካሪዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡

about what they did .
ይሠሩት ከነበሩት ነገር ሁሉ ፡ ፡

and what they used to earn did not avail them .
ይሠሩትም የነበሩት ሕንጻ ምንም አልጠቀማቸውም ፡ ፡

will not the infidels pay for what they had done ?
ከሓዲዎች ይሠሩት የነበሩትን ( ዋጋ ) ተመነዱን ? ( ይላሉ ) ፡ ፡

and , on returning to their people , boast about what they had done .
ወደ ቤተሰቦቻቸውም በተመለሱ ጊዜ ( በመሳለቃቸው ) ተደሳቾች ኾነው ይመለሱ ነበር ፡ ፡

and we will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed .
ከሥራም ወደ ሠሩት እናስባለን ፡ ፡ የተበተነ ትቢያም እናደርገዋለን ፡ ፡

nun . i call to witness the pen and what they inscribe ,
ነ . ( ኑን ) ፤ በብርእ እምላለሁ በዚያም ( መልአኮች ) በሚጽፉት ፡ ፡

he said : and what knowledge have i of what they do ?
( እርሱም ) አላቸው « ይሠሩት በነበሩት ነገር ምን ዕውቀት አለኝ ፡ ፡

concerning what they have been doing .
ይሠሩት ከነበሩት ነገር ሁሉ ፡ ፡

he said : " and what do i know as to what they do ?
( እርሱም ) አላቸው « ይሠሩት በነበሩት ነገር ምን ዕውቀት አለኝ ፡ ፡

so , the truth prevailed and what they were doing was annulled ;
እውነቱም ተገለጸ ፡ ፡ ይሠሩት የነበሩትም ( ድግምት ) ተበላሸ ፡ ፡

and thy lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they publish .
ጌታህም ልቦቻቸው የሚደብቁትንና የሚገልጹትን ሁሉ ያውቃል ፡ ፡

and thy lord knoweth what their breasts conceal , and what they publish .
ጌታህም ልቦቻቸው የሚደብቁትንና የሚገልጹትን ሁሉ ያውቃል ፡ ፡

do they not know that god is aware of what they hide and what they disclose ?
አላህ የሚደብቁትንና የሚገልጹትን የሚያውቅ መኾኑን አያውቁምን ?

and indeed , your lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare .
ጌታህም ልቦቻቸው የሚደብቁትንና የሚገልጹትን ያውቃል ፡ ፡

do they not know that allah knows what they keep secret and what they make known ?
አላህ የሚደብቁትንና የሚገልጹትን የሚያውቅ መኾኑን አያውቁምን ?

and indeed your lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms , and what they disclose .
ጌታህም ልቦቻቸው የሚደብቁትንና የሚገልጹትን ያውቃል ፡ ፡
