allah will surely ascertain who are the believers and who are the hypocrites .
አላህም እነዚያን ያመኑትን በእርግጥ ያውቃል ፡ ፡ መናፍቆቹንም ያውቃል ፡ ፡

allah shall surely ascertain those who have faith , and he shall surely ascertain the hypocrites .
አላህም እነዚያን ያመኑትን በእርግጥ ያውቃል ፡ ፡ መናፍቆቹንም ያውቃል ፡ ፡

we shall certainly test you until we know those of you who truly strive and remain steadfast , and will ascertain about you .
ከእናንተም ታጋዮቹንና ታጋሾቹን እስከምናውቅ ፣ ወሬዎቻችሁንም እስከምንገልጽ ድረስ በእርግጥ እንሞክራችኋለን ፡ ፡

we will surely test you until we ascertain those of you who wage jihad and those who are steadfast , and we shall appraise your record .
ከእናንተም ታጋዮቹንና ታጋሾቹን እስከምናውቅ ፣ ወሬዎቻችሁንም እስከምንገልጽ ድረስ በእርግጥ እንሞክራችኋለን ፡ ፡

for we indeed tested those who went before them ? allah will most certainly ascertain those who spoke the truth and those who lied .
እነዚያንም ከእነሱ በፊት የነበሩትን በእርግጥ ፈትነናል ፡ ፡ እነዚያንም እውነት የተናገሩትን አላህ በእርግጥ ያውቃል ፡ ፡ ውሸታሞቹንም ያውቃል ፡ ፡

certainly we tested those who were before them . so allah shall surely ascertain those who are truthful , and he shall surely ascertain the liars .
እነዚያንም ከእነሱ በፊት የነበሩትን በእርግጥ ፈትነናል ፡ ፡ እነዚያንም እውነት የተናገሩትን አላህ በእርግጥ ያውቃል ፡ ፡ ውሸታሞቹንም ያውቃል ፡ ፡

believers , if one who publicly commits sins brings you any news , ascertain its truthfulness carefully , lest you harm people through ignorance and then regret what you have done .
እላንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ነገረኛ ወሬን ቢያመጣላችሁ በስህተት ላይ ኾናችሁ ሕዝቦችን እንዳትጎዱና በሠራችሁት ነገር ላይ ተጸጸቾች እንዳትኾኑ አረጋግጡ ፡ ፡

believers , when an ungodly person brings to you a piece of news , carefully ascertain its truth , lest you should hurt a people unwittingly and thereafter repent at what you did .
እላንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ነገረኛ ወሬን ቢያመጣላችሁ በስህተት ላይ ኾናችሁ ሕዝቦችን እንዳትጎዱና በሠራችሁት ነገር ላይ ተጸጸቾች እንዳትኾኑ አረጋግጡ ፡ ፡

believers , if an evil-doer brings you news , ascertain the correctness of the report fully , lest you unwittingly harm others , and then regret what you have done ,
እላንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ነገረኛ ወሬን ቢያመጣላችሁ በስህተት ላይ ኾናችሁ ሕዝቦችን እንዳትጎዱና በሠራችሁት ነገር ላይ ተጸጸቾች እንዳትኾኑ አረጋግጡ ፡ ፡

o my sons ! go and ascertain about yusuf and his brother , and despair not of the comfort of allah ; verily none despair of the comfort of allah except a people disbelieving .
« ልጆቼ ሆይ ! ሊዱ ፤ ከዩሱፍና ከወንድሙም ( ወሬ ) ተመራመሩ ፡ ፡ ከአላህም እዝነት ተስፋ አትቁረጡ ፡ ፡ እነሆ ከአላህ እዝነት ከሓዲዎች ሕዝቦች እንጂ ተስፋ አይቆርጥም » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

go , o my sons , and ascertain concerning joseph and his brother , and despair not of the spirit of allah . lo ! none despaireth of the spirit of allah save disbelieving folk .
« ልጆቼ ሆይ ! ሊዱ ፤ ከዩሱፍና ከወንድሙም ( ወሬ ) ተመራመሩ ፡ ፡ ከአላህም እዝነት ተስፋ አትቁረጡ ፡ ፡ እነሆ ከአላህ እዝነት ከሓዲዎች ሕዝቦች እንጂ ተስፋ አይቆርጥም » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

if wounds afflict you , like wounds have already afflicted those people ; and we make such vicissitudes rotate among mankind , so that allah may ascertain those who have faith , and that he may take martyrs from among you , and allah does not like the wrongdoers .
ቁስል ቢያገኛችሁ ሰዎቹንም መሰሉ ቁስል አግኝቷቸዋል ፡ ፡ ይኽችንም ቀናት በሰዎች መካከል እናዘዋውራታለን ፡ ፡ ( እንድትገሰጹና ) አላህም እነዚያን ያመኑትን እንዲያውቅ ( እንዲለይ ) ከእናንተም ሰማዕታትን እንዲይዝ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህም በዳዮችን አይወድም ፡ ፡
