certainly noah called out to us , and how well did we respond !
ኑሕም በእርግጥ ጠራን ፡ ፡ ጥሪውን ተቀባዮቹም ምንኛ አማርን !

others will respond , " it was you who did not want to have any faith .
( አስከታዮቹም ) ይላሉ « አይደለም ፈጽሞ ምእምናን አልነበራችሁም ፡ ፡

go with this letter of mine and lay it before them , then withdraw from them and see how they respond . "
« ይህንን ደብዳቤዬን ይዘህ ኺድ ፡ ፡ ወደእነርሱም ጣለው ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ከእነሱ ዘወር በል ፡ ፡ ምን አንደሚመልሱም ተመልከት ፡ ፡ »

on the day when he calls you , you will respond with his praise , and you will realize that you stayed only a little .
( እርሱም ) የሚጠራችሁና ( አላህን ) አመስጋኞቹ ኾናችሁ ጥሪውን የምትቀበሉበት ጥቂትንም ( ቀኖች ) እንጂ ያልቆያችሁ መኾናችሁን የምትጠራጠሩበት ቀን ነው ፤ ( በላቸው ) ፡ ፡

only those respond who hearken . and as to the dead , allah will raise them , and thereafter unto him they shall be returned .
ጥሪህን የሚቀበሉት እነዚያ የሚሰሙት ብቻ ናቸው ፡ ፡ ሙታንንም አላህ ይቀሰቅሳቸዋል ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ወደርሱ ብቻ ይመለሳሉ ፡ ፡

go with this letter of mine , and deliver it to them ; then withdraw from them , and see how they respond . ”
« ይህንን ደብዳቤዬን ይዘህ ኺድ ፡ ፡ ወደእነርሱም ጣለው ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ከእነሱ ዘወር በል ፡ ፡ ምን አንደሚመልሱም ተመልከት ፡ ፡ »

and it will be said , “ call on your partners . ” and they will call on them , but they will not respond to them .
« ( ለአላህ ) የምታጋሯቸውንም ጥሩ » ይባላሉ ፤ ይጠሯቸዋልም ፡ ፡ ግን ለእነርሱ አይመልሱላቸውም ፡ ፡ ቅጣቱንም ያያሉ ፡ ፡ እነርሱ ይመሩ በነበሩ ኖሮ ( አያዩትም ነበር ) ፡ ፡

but if they fail to respond to you , know that they follow their fancies . and who is more lost than him who follows his fancy without guidance from god ?
እሺ ባይሉህም ፤ የሚከተሉት ፤ ዝንባሌዎቻቸውን ብቻ መኾኑን ዕወቅ ፡ ፡ ከአላህም የኾነ መመሪያ ሳይኖረው ዝንባሌውን ከተከተለ ሰው ይበልጥ የጠመመ አንድም የለም ፡ ፡ አላህ በደለኞች ሕዝቦችን አይመራምና ፡ ፡

and he who does not respond to the one who calls to allah will not be able to frustrate him on earth , nor will they have anyone to protect them from allah . such people are in manifest error .
የአላህንም ጠሪ የማይቀበል ሰው በምድር ውስጥ የሚያመልጥ አይደለም ፡ ፡ ከእርሱም ሌላ ለእርሱ ረዳቶች የሉትም ፡ ፡ እነዚያ በግልጽ ስሕተት ውስጥ ናቸው » ( አሉ ) ፡ ፡

believers , respond to allah and the messenger when he calls you to that which revives you . know that allah is between the person and his heart , and that tohim you shall all be gathered .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ( መልክተኛው ) ሕያው ወደሚያደርጋችሁ እምነት በጠራችሁ ጊዜ ለአላህና ለመልክተኛው ታዘዙ ፡ ፡ አላህም በሰውየውና በልቡ መካከል የሚጋርድ መኾኑን ወደርሱም የምትሰበሰቡ መኾናችሁን እወቁ ፡ ፡

if you invoke them , they do not hear your call ; and even if they could hear , they would not respond to you . and on the day of resurrection they will disown your having associated them with god .
ብትጠሩዋቸው ጥሪያችሁን አይሰሙም ፡ ፡ ቢሰሙም ኖሮ ለእናንተ አይመልሱላችሁም ፡ ፡ በትንሣኤም ቀን ( እነርሱን በአላህ ) ማጋራታችሁን ይክዳሉ ፡ ፡ እንደ ውስጠ ዐዋቂው ማንም አይነግርህም ፡ ፡

who is more astray than him who invokes besides allah such [ entities ] as would not respond to him until the day of resurrection , and who are oblivious of their invocation ?
እስከ ትንሣኤ ቀን ድረስም ለእርሱ የማይመልስለትን ( ጣዖት ) ከአላህ ሌላ ከሚጠራ ሰው ይበልጥ የተሳሳተ ማነው ? እነርሱም ከጥሪያቸው ዘንጊዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡

if you invoke them they will not hear your invocation , and even if they heard they cannot respond to you , and on the day of resurrection they will forswear your polytheism , and none can inform you like the one who is all-aware .
ብትጠሩዋቸው ጥሪያችሁን አይሰሙም ፡ ፡ ቢሰሙም ኖሮ ለእናንተ አይመልሱላችሁም ፡ ፡ በትንሣኤም ቀን ( እነርሱን በአላህ ) ማጋራታችሁን ይክዳሉ ፡ ፡ እንደ ውስጠ ዐዋቂው ማንም አይነግርህም ፡ ፡

" no doubt you call me to ( worship ) one who cannot grant ( me ) my request ( or respond to my invocation ) in this world or in the hereafter . and our return will be to allah , and al-musrifun ( i.e. polytheists and arrogants , those who commit great sins , the transgressors of allah 's set limits ) !
« በእርግጥ ወደእርሱ የምትጠሩብኝ ( ጣዖት ) ለእርሱ በቅርቢቱም ኾነ በመጨረሻይቱ ዓለም ( ተሰሚ ) ጥሪ የለውም ፡ ፡ መመለሻችንም በእርግጥ ወደ አላህ ነው ፡ ፡ ወሰን አላፊዎቹም እነሱ የእሳት ጓዶች ናቸው ፡ ፡
