ye are the light of the world. a city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

but if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
ⲪⲎ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲐⲘⲞϢⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲈϪⲰⲢϨ ϢⲀϤϬⲒϬⲢⲞⲠ ϪⲈ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲰⲒⲚⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦϤ ⲀⲚ.

he that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

and was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

and when i could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, i came into damascus.

and as he journeyed, he came near damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
ⲈⲦⲀϤⲘⲞϢⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤϦⲰⲚⲦ ⲈⲆⲀⲘⲀⲤⲔⲞⲤ ⲚⲞⲨϨⲞϮ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϨⲞϮ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰⲒⲚⲒ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲰϤ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲞⲨⲰⲒⲚⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲪⲈ.

and this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
ⲪⲀⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲒϨⲀⲠ ϪⲈ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲰⲒⲚⲒ ⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲀⲨⲘⲈⲚⲢⲈ ⲠⲒⲬⲀⲔⲒ ⲘⲀⲖⲖⲞⲚ ⲈϨⲞⲦⲈ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲰⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲞⲨϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲀⲨϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ.

but is now made manifest by the appearing of our saviour jesus christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
ⲀϤⲞⲨⲞⲚϨ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϮⲚⲞⲨ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲞⲚϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲈⲚⲤⲰⲦⲎⲢ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲈⲀϤⲔⲰⲢϤ ⲘⲈⲚ ⲘⲪⲘⲞⲨ ⲀϤⲐⲢⲈ ⲠⲰⲚϦ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ϮⲘⲈⲦⲀⲦⲦⲀⲔⲞ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲈⲨⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲒⲞⲚ.

at midday, o king, i saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

while ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. these things spake jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
