their parable is that of one who lighted a torch, and when it had lit up all around him, allah took away their light, and left them sightless in a manifold darkness.
இத்தகையோருக்கு ஓர் உதாரணம்; நெருப்பை மூட்டிய ஒருவனின் உதாரணத்தைப் போன்றது. அ(ந் நெருப்பான)து அவனைச் சுற்றிலும் ஒளி வீசியபோது, அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுடைய ஒளியைப் பறித்துவிட்டான்; இன்னும் பார்க்க முடியாத காரிருளில் அவர்களை விட்டு விட்டான்.
when he saw the fire, he said to his family, "wait here for i can see a fire. perhaps i shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire".
அவர் நெருப்பைக் கண்டு தம் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் "நீங்கள் (இங்கு சிறிது) தங்குங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக நான் நெருப்பைக் கண்டேன்; ஒரு வேளை அதிலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு ஓர் எரி கொள்ளியைக் கொண்டு வரவோ, அல்லது நாம் செல்ல வேண்டிய பாதையை அந் நெருப்பி(ன் உதவியி)னால் கண்டு பிடிக்கவோ செய்யலாம்" என்று (கூறினார்).

அவர் நெருப்பைக் கண்டு தம் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் "நீங்கள் (இங்கு சிறிது) தங்குங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக நான் நெருப்பைக் கண்டேன்; ஒரு வேளை அதிலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு ஓர் எரி கொள்ளியைக் கொண்டு வரவோ, அல்லது நாம் செல்ல வேண்டிய பாதையை அந் நெருப்பி(ன் உதவியி)னால் கண்டு பிடிக்கவோ செய்யலாம்" என்று (கூறினார்).
[mention] when moses said to his family, "indeed, i have perceived a fire. i will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves."
மூஸா தம் குடும்பத்தாரை நோக்கி; "நிச்சயமாக நான் நெருப்பைக் காண்கிறேன்; உங்களுக்கு நான் அதிலிருந்து (நாம் செல்ல வேண்டிய வழி பற்றிய) செய்தியைக் கொண்டு வருகிறேன், அல்லது நீங்கள் குளிர்காயும் பொருட்டு (உங்களுக்கு அதிலிருந்து) நெருப்புக் கங்கைக் கொண்டு வருகிறேன்" என்று கூறியதை (நபியே!) நினைவு கூர்வீராக!
