and the children of gad built dibon, and ataroth, and aroer,
ויבנו בני גד את דיבן ואת עטרת ואת ערער׃

and to them which were in aroer, and to them which were in siphmoth, and to them which were in eshtemoa,
ולאשר בערער ולאשר בשפמות ולאשר באשתמע׃

the cities of aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
עזבות ערי ערער לעדרים תהיינה ורבצו ואין מחריד׃

ויעברו את הירדן ויחנו בערוער ימין העיר אשר בתוך הנחל הגד ואל יעזר׃

ויהי להם הגבול מערוער אשר על שפת נחל ארנון והעיר אשר בתוך הנחל וכל המישר על מידבא׃

from jordan eastward, all the land of gilead, the gadites, and the reubenites, and the manassites, from aroer, which is by the river arnon, even gilead and bashan.
מן הירדן מזרח השמש את כל ארץ הגלעד הגדי והראובני והמנשי מערער אשר על נחל ארנן והגלעד והבשן׃

and he smote them from aroer, even till thou come to minnith, even twenty cities, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very great slaughter. thus the children of ammon were subdued before the children of israel.
ויכם מערוער ועד בואך מנית עשרים עיר ועד אבל כרמים מכה גדולה מאד ויכנעו בני עמון מפני בני ישראל׃

from aroer, which is by the brink of the river of arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: the lord our god delivered all unto us:
מערער אשר על שפת נחל ארנן והעיר אשר בנחל ועד הגלעד לא היתה קריה אשר שגבה ממנו את הכל נתן יהוה אלהינו לפנינו׃
