so sennacherib king of assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at nineveh.
ויסע וילך וישב סנחריב מלך אשור וישב בנינוה׃

and when hezekiah saw that sennacherib was come, and that he was purposed to fight against jerusalem,
וירא יחזקיהו כי בא סנחריב ופניו למלחמה על ירושלם׃

ויושע יהוה את יחזקיהו ואת ישבי ירושלם מיד סנחריב מלך אשור ומיד כל וינהלם מסביב׃

then isaiah the son of amoz sent to hezekiah, saying, thus saith the lord god of israel, that which thou hast prayed to me against sennacherib king of assyria i have heard.
וישלח ישעיהו בן אמוץ אל חזקיהו לאמר כה אמר יהוה אלהי ישראל אשר התפללת אלי אל סנחרב מלך אשור שמעתי׃

after these things, and the establishment thereof, sennacherib king of assyria came, and entered into judah, and encamped against the fenced cities, and thought to win them for himself.
אחרי הדברים והאמת האלה בא סנחריב מלך אשור ויבא ביהודה ויחן על הערים הבצרות ויאמר לבקעם אליו׃
