firstly, i am going to talk about the freedom in thoughts and how can be linked to this quote. our thoughts here can be linked to the metaphors of animals and birds. usually if we use this quotation on thoughts, we will talk about creativity. animals and birds here refer to our flow of thoughts, our imagination. cage here can means that restrictions to one’s imaginations and creativity. how do we ‘cage’ our thoughts and creativity. i think that we ‘caged’ our thoughts and imagination by setting rules upon the subjects that we are thinking of. this rules will somehow gives a borderline to let us ‘see’ where to stop thinking and from where how to move on in our thought processes. however, in this ever developing world, rules that restrict thinking will not let us go far in the world and would not help us in advancing to a better society. as there is a saying that one must always think out of the box. so this quotation also supports the saying, by not caging your imaginations and thoughts, you can create wonderful inventions
