indeed we sent it down on the night of ordainment .
हमने को शबे क़द्र में नाज़िल किया

and what will show you what is the night of ordainment ?
और तुमको क्या मालूम शबे क़द्र क्या है

the night of ordainment is better than a thousand months .
शबे क़द्र हज़ार महीनो से बेहतर है

यदि अल्लाह का लिखा पहले से मौजूद न होता , तो जो कुछ नीति तुमने अपनाई है उसपर तुम्हें कोई बड़ी यातना आ लेती

और अगर ख़ुदा की तरफ से पहले ही (उसकी) माफी का हुक्म आ चुका होता तो तुमने जो (बदर के क़ैदियों के छोड़ देने के बदले) फिदिया लिया था

surely the reckoning of months , in the sight of allah , is twelve months , laid down in allah ' s decree on the day when he created the heavens and the earth ; and out of these months four are sacred . that is the true ordainment . do not , therefore , wrong yourselves , with respect to these months . and fight all together against those who associate others with allah in his divinity in the manner that they fight against you all together , and know well that allah is with the god - fearing .
इसमें तो शक़ ही नहीं कि ख़ुदा ने जिस दिन आसमान व ज़मीन को पैदा किया ख़ुदा के नज़दीक ख़ुदा की किताब में महीनों की गिनती बारह महीने है उनमें से चार महीने हुरमत के हैं यही दीन सीधी राह है तो उन चार महीनों में तुम अपने ऊपर करके ज़ुल्म न करो और मुशरेकीन जिस तरह तुम से सबके बस मिलकर लड़ते हैं तुम भी उसी तरह सबके सब मिलकर उन से लड़ों और ये जान लो कि ख़ुदा तो यक़ीनन परहेज़गारों के साथ है
