तब अब्राम मुंह के बल गिरा : और परमेश्वर उस से यों बातें कहता गया,

when the queen of sheba heard of the fame of solomon, she came to prove solomon with hard questions at jerusalem, with a very great train, and camels that bore spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she had come to solomon, she talked with him of all that was in her heart.
जब शीबा की रानी ने सुलैमान की कीर्त्ति सुनी, तब वह कठिन कठिन प्रश्नों से उसकी परीक्षा करने के लिये यरूशलेम को चली । वह बहुत भारी दल और मसालों और बहुत सोने और मणि से लदे ऊंट साथ लिये हुए आई, और सुलैमान के पास पहुंचकर उससे अपने मन की सब बातों के विषय बातें कीं।

and it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, art thou made of the king's counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? then the prophet forbare, and said, i know that god hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.
वह उस से कह ही रहा था कि उस ने उस से पूछा, क्या हम ने तुझे राजमन्त्री ठहरा दिया है? चुप रह ! क्या तू मार खाना चाहता है? तब वह नबी यह कहकर चुप हो गया, कि मुझे मालूम है कि परमेश्वर ने तुझे नाश करने को ठाना है, क्योंकि तू ने ऐसा किया है और मेरी सम्मति नहीं मानी।
