for this thing i besought the lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

this people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

ⲀϨⲀ ⲠⲀⲤⲞⲚ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲈⲒⲈⲘⲦⲞⲚ ⲘⲘⲞⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲔ ϦⲈⲚⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲘⲀⲘⲦⲞⲚ ⲚⲚⲀⲘⲈⲦϢⲀⲚⲐⲘⲀϦⲦ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ.
yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the lord: refresh my bowels in the lord.

ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲀⲒϢⲀⲚⲒ ϨⲀⲢⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲢⲀϢⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲈⲦⲈϨⲚⲈ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲀⲘⲦⲞⲚ ⲘⲘⲞⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ.

for he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

ϨⲰⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲨⲘⲞϢⲒ ϨⲒ ⲠⲒⲘⲰⲒⲦ ⲀⲨⲒ ϨⲒϪⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲠⲒⲤⲒⲞⲨⲢ ϪⲈ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲒⲤ ⲞⲨⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲦⲦⲀϨⲚⲞ ⲘⲘⲞⲒ ⲈϬⲒⲰⲘⲤ.
and as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, see, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
